Burning up...

Eventually

It's awfully hot this summer where I live. :( I hate working out now because of the heat and how it makes me drenched with sweat TWICE as fast and TWICE as much... not to mention that I don't have air conditioning, nor a fan that will blow out cool air, nor access to a nice cool indoor gym. >_< So with no escape from the heat, how am I going to keep up with exercise that is now oh-so uncomfortable?

Oh, and I'm also wondering if just walking a bunch every day with some calisthenics/Pilates thrown in would make a good enough work out. I'm not really looking for, eh, "organized" exercise that's all planned out. I was hoping to make a part of my everyday life. :) So at 5'6.5, eating just enough every day so I'm comfortable, would you think it'd be effective at losing body fat? (Really, I'm doubtful because I've lost a lot of pounds already at 2 pounds/week and only a few inches off my body)

That's a question that no one can really answer.

"Just enough so I'm comfortable" could be next to nothing or it could be a crazy amount. And even if it's just right in the middle, if you're eating a reasonable amoutn of calories, but it's all junk and non-nutritious, that could hinder fat loss as well.

Walking is a good workout - but you still want to walk briskly enough that you raise your heart rate. If you don't get your heart rate up there, then a stroll isn't going to be terribly effective.
