Burn fat but maintain weight

Hi All,

I am a fairly skinny guy just under 6 foot. weight about 75kg

I have grown a bit of a belly over time... its not too big but when i sit down i can grab the fat with my fingers and feels/looks ugly.

I have been cutting down on my foot intake and exercising every few days. (jogs, walks, soccer)

I have notice a small improvement in the stomach fat area.. but also noticed i lost about 1 kg, which i didnt want.

Ive also started doing ab work every second day in hope that i can help burn fat in teh stomach area and also have my abs sticking out once the fat is burnt..

Can anyone recommend what i should be doing in increase the fat burning ? I really dont want to lose weight in other parts of my body, which i know you cant spot burn, but if you can suggest methods to help wih my stomach fat burning ? that would be great.. thanks

you said it. you can't spot burn. you don't want to lose weight than add in weight training to counter the fat loss

Adding in weight training as AllCdnBoy suggested needs to be your way forward.
As a beginner I would suggest a simple circuit session, light weights at first while you work on form, find videos on you tube for details on good technique.
The below circuit is enough to work your whole body, in 4 exercises, even though this is times the aim is not volume it is perfect movement
1 minute of each, then move onto the next, 3 times around. Absolute maximum of every other day, allow for recovery.

Deadlift
Squat
Bench press
Crunches

Warm up and reach stretches before, cool down and stretch after. All of your body will have been worked, to avoid aching more than you need to and possible injury find stretches for everything, they are easy to find and almost impossible to describe in type.

When starting simple mantra, keep it light, get it right.
Doing this will not build you a lot of muscle initially, but will lay the foundations for other routines that will. If you jump straight to heavy sets 10 to 6 which is bulk building, you will incapacitate yourself at best and injure yourself at worst.
Patience pays.

You're talking about 'body recomposition' - fat loss with gains in muscle at the same time (to preserve your weight).

Check it out :)

Burning fat without losing weight might be tough as both are interrelated to each other but apart from normal level of fat burn exercises you may preferred natural tips for burning fats such as lemon juice with adding honey in every morning.

Is that alarming to you? Why? It is true that when you would able to cut some extra fat in your stomach area then you would lose some weight. The real truth is that you need to go through a certain process. So it would not affect the overall weight of your body.

If you do not take care now then belly fat can increase your risk of many health conditions, including cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes and stroke. It would be wise decision for you if you take an action right now. You can speed up your metabolism and burn belly fat with few simple tips:

• Exercise 10 minutes three or more times a day. Exercise helps increase your metabolism and fat-burning rate. Finding time to exercise might be difficult in your busy life, but you only need to exercise 10 minutes at a time to get health benefits and increase your fat burn. Pick an exercise you enjoy and do at least three 10-minute sessions each day --- in the morning, during lunch break and before dinner, for example. Walk, bicycle, do yoga, calisthenics, climb stairs or do a combination of each.

• Cut excess sugar from your diet. Many foods you might think are healthy actually contain hundreds of calories and dozens of grams of sugar. Cut juices, sugary yogurts, cereals and snack bars from your diet. For example, 1 cup of orange juice contains over 100 calories and 20 g of sugars. When you cut 500 calories from your diet every day, you will lose 1 lb. of fat every week. Drink mint-flavored water and eat plain yogurt or oatmeal with fresh berries and fresh fruits rather than sugary varieties.

• Boost your metabolism by drinking oolong tea and eating spicy foods. 1 cup of oolong tea increases your metabolism for 2 hours. When your metabolism is increased, your body will burn more calories. Eating black pepper and other spicy foods can also have this metabolism-revving effect.

• Drink ice-cold water to make your body burn more calories. Drinking ice water forces your body to work to bring your body temperature back to normal, which burns calories. Drink eight glasses of ice water to burn an extra 70 calories per day.

• Add high-fiber foods to your meals. Foods that contain fiber can make you feel full, which can help reduce the portion sizes and calorie content of your meals. Eat fiber-rich foods such as vegetables, whole grains and fruits as snacks or with meals.

• Do abdominal exercises every day. Although you cannot spot-reduce fat around your tummy, you can tone your muscles and help shape your belly. Increased muscle mass anywhere in your body will increase your metabolism and help burn more calories even at rest.

• Replace high-carbohydrate foods such as pasta and rice from your diet by substituting them with shirataki noodles and vegetables. Serve steamed cauliflower instead of rice or spaghetti squash or shirataki noodles instead of wheat pasta, for example. This will help cut hundreds of calories from your meals.

Just follow all of my advice consistently. Hopefully you would able to cut extra fat in your stomach area.
