hi i've joined this forum to chat to others about weight loss and to get motivation! would love a buddy :)

my methods so far are:


staying away from pasta, bread, potatoes

trying not to eat chocolate and sweets but will do occasionally :)

If you need any advice feel free to contact me too. Eating low carbs is a really good start, try and get a high amount of protein into your diet. This doesn't mean that you shouldn't eat no carbs at all, because the right carbs such as brown pasta, brown rice and other whole grain foods are good for you. Have a look at the Paleo diet. Its a great book.
I'm just getting started as well. If you need to hear from someone else who will be struggling to keep that diet in check feel free to say hi. I have never had a problem working out or playing sports to lose weight, but the diet is always my downfall. I am attempting to keep my portions in check, and lose 2-2.5 lbs per week for the next 40 weeks to prepare for a Tough Mudder event, so I will need all the help and motivation I can get.
