Horrific sweet tooth the last few days, I just can’t seem to shake it. :nopity:

I gave myself the tiniest amount of cheesecake on Monday, I have been eating fruit and whipped cream, chocolate granola bars…I don’t know what’s going on in my head but that sweet tooth is a real buggar! Hopefully it will go away before I attack a pint of Ben & Jerry’s that I will definitely regret after the fact. I caught myself staring at it when I was in the grocery store yesterday, and yes, I was salivating :drool5: - people must have thought I was insane. I couldn't tell you how long I stood there, paralized with desire, but when I finally snapped out of it I made my way out of the store :leaving:

I think I may bake some oatmeal raisin cookies or some banana bread. I much prefer to wait and do so when my hubby is home so I don’t eat all of it myself - chowing down on a whole sheet of cookies or an entire banana bread alone would kind of defeat the purpose now, wouldn't it?

Hubby brought home pizza last night and I was too weak to not have any, hell I was too weak not to just have 1 slice, or even 2 slices, had to have 3. I am disappointed in myself. And right before I am supposed to weigh-in, too.

I weighed myself after I had drunk about a glass of water, but well, it's still a loss and that's good. Down to 198 as of today, so 0.8lb loss. Paying for that pizza and cheesecake this week. :leaving:

Okay, well this is my last entry for a bit, at least until I get back from the States. I will have to update my journal when I get back, so much to get done before I am ready to go, it just seemed to all pile up. I have been swamped with packing (some of my hubby's things were at the drycleaner, who decided to go on vacation this week - so I had to fight with his wife to get her to give me my husband's suit!), cleaning (I hate to leave anything even remotely messy, I mean who wants to clean up right after a vacation?) and last minute details with the doggy daycare ( don't ask ;) ). I'll be back very late evening on the 9th of August.

After getting in from the states we were rushed off to the in-laws for two days - but I'm back.

Sigh, after all my careful/obsessive writing down of everything during my vacation I leave the book at the restaurant in the airport! It’s the only place I can imagine I left it, it’s the last place I remember having it. Suffice to say that most days were maintain weight days with 3 days tossed in of most likely gain days (not positive how many calories were in certain sauces and things like that). I got some really strange looks for writing everything down and – in the cases where I was able to do so – checking labels. My family kept saying that I look so much better with more weight on me (versus when I got married, 3 years ago my lowest weight – 170ish lbs) and how I shouldn’t try to lose any more. Medically speaking I am not at a healthy weight, at 170lbs I will fall on the high end of the “normal” BMI range for my body with 24.7 - - I don’t understand why they can’t see that I am unhealthy. Granted, most of them are overweight and unhealthy, but why not cheer someone trying to get healthy rather than telling them they look better with the weight and tease them for trying to lose?

I'll begin my journaling again tomorrow morning, bright n' early.

.....sorry about the journal...SUCKS!!!

...I know what you mean though about your family, and close relatives, and friends....I've actually thought about it several times for a LONG TIME.......and what I CAME UP WITH, was that I think it's not that they don't love you or want you to do better for yourself.....
BUT that they fear that you will succeed in a sense, and by your demonstrating the DEDICATION and CONSISTENCY of applying a certain action and belief or something.....shows HOW STRONG YOU ARE!!!....the problem comes in when they see you get so far ahead that they feel they can't catch up to you anymore, and their guilt for not having acted as well to BETTER THEIR LIVES......eats them up.

....it's like knockin you down in a sense, but at the same time, because they love you and don't want you to get too far ahead where they can't catch up......I THINK!!!

..I dunno....it could be a multitude of things I think.....:iagree:

...I HAVE FAITH IN YOU!!! I"M ROOTING FOR YOU!!!! YOU CAN AND WILL DO THIS!!!

That does make sense, entirely too much actually! I am not going to give up on myself like that, though, I do not want to be unhealthy and I can't let other people's opinions stand in my way. This isn't primarily about how I look, this is about me being worried about how unhealthy I am and what toll it is going to take on my life (or lifespan, as the case may be).
