Breaking up with my trainer

ok so I am ditching my trainer. I find her so awesome but so expensive especially now with what is going on in the economy. How do I break it to her that I can no longer see her?? Any advice? I like her a lot and she has educated me and given me so much guidance but like I said, its gettin rough with money. Anyone broken up with their trainer before?

be honest with her....

times are tough - you appreciate where she's taken you -and you are armed with the knowledge to get you further.

not to say in 3-6 months you can't pick up an additional session ...

Coming from a trainer, clients come and go.

Obviously you befriend clients and vice versa. But life doesn't always afford clients the ability to pay a trainer.

Can you cut back the number of sessions you're doing now?

If not, I'm sure she'll understand the truth, as Mal said.

Dont stress! She will understand!
After all you are probably not the only one doing it. Buy her a nice little something to say thanks for the good times and letting her know that when times are better you will be back.
In the meantime resort to cheaper trainers like trainerpack.com, pump-one.com, iamplify.com
Good luck! But remember that others are doing it too!

:)

I would not suggest seeking a cheap trainer.

Would you pay for poop?

Fitness is something you can do on your own. A good trainer can amplify your progress. If one can't be found or afforded, settling for a lesser trainer isn't usually a better option.

As a trainer I feel honesty, is your best approach. Let your trainer know that they mean the world to you, but at this point in time you cannot afford to continue on with them. Many of my clients have also taken this approach, instead of quitting altogether they have cut back on their frequency, this may also be a viable option for you, instead of stopping your growth.

Hey guys

thanks for the support. I spoke with her today and she was okay with it. I was honest, told her she was worth every penny I spent but now that I have no pennies left I am out. She totally understood.
:)
