Breaking point.

I've been dieting using the weight watchers plan (but not attending meetings) since October and so far I've lost around 20 lbs, I've got around 12lbs to go and I'm really struggling. I've been on a plateau for the past few weeks and I'm getting really frustrated by the fact that I'm following the plan to the letter and gaining no results, even after decreasing my points/calorie intake.

The trouble is I really can't see any difference in myself although I've dropped 1/2 dress sizes since beginning my weight loss and I hate being the size that I am. Since beginning my diet I have a much shorter temper which makes me feel really guilty when I end up snapping at my boyfriend, my libido has also dwindled to next to nothing. All these negative things combined with my plateau have made me really close to giving up and it makes me so depressed getting on the scales and realising all my efforts are amounting to nothing.

Has anyone experienced any of these side effects too?
Any tips for overcoming a plateau?
Any motivation for me to continue?

HELP!!

Tips for a plateau - and if you search this forum you'll find a few threads on this topic..

eat at maintenance for a bit - then drop your calories a bit... dropping your low calories even lower is the worst thing you can do - you want to up them a bit- let your weight stabilize then drop them again...

Motivation to continue? Motivation comes from you... why do you want to continue? if you don't - that's fine -- you have to be satisfied with what you see in the mirror NOT the number on the scale -the number on the scale is meaningless...

Your temper and such are probably because of the decreased calories - EAT...
