Boobs, Bras and Bouncy Bits

the ones at victorias secret felt like they held better (the ones from the sporting goods place I got more for going out walking our weight training etc) there was slight movement but everything felt pretty held down lol and I don't know could it be the fabric stretching out? I bought them not too long ago

I guess this is one advantage of being blessed with a "compact' form. :)

But, I have noticed that even with my itty bitty top side, my sports bras that I purchased less than 3 months ago are losing their support. They were just the Hanes 3-pak...but that firm compression that they started with has disappeared.

I've very recently started jogging in an attempt to loose 10lbs to a stone. I am fairly slim but i have quite a big bust. I'm a 34E and in need of some jogging support as i am TERRIFIED of them going saggy from jogging (as i read an interesting article on boobs and jogging on the BBC website).
Can anyone suggest a really good sports bra for this please?

there are a few other bra threads as well...

Your first step is to go to a lingerie store and get properly measured.. and make sure you are wearing the right size....

Then yuo want to try on what's comfortable for you - and what keeps the breasts in place which means trying them on in he fitting room and bouncing around..

Once you've found a bra that fits... then you can spend some time looking around the web for better pricing.. :D but I would never buy one tried unseen...

Women who have a B cup - it doesn't really matter what type of bra they've got it's more about fashion that function.. Once you move into C, D, DD, and bigger- Function matters... and you need to see how the bras fit your breasts...

yeah i was measured a couple of weeks ago! they dont look as big as they measure though an i dont need loads of support (im only 25 so they still sit nicely, lol), but i do need a sports bra as i like my boobs where they are at the mo hehe!
im in the UK, anyone know of good uk shops for sports bras or a great brand?

I would stick to the popular sports brands, Nike, Reebok, Adidas, either of them will have good sports bras.

I like my Bestform High Impact bras. I wear a 42DD and this bra supports me VERY well during karate (we do sparing, throws and general bouncing around alot). It's more like chest binding, but hey, I don't get chest harmonic dissonance (when I land, the boobies bounce up ...) when I do jumping jacks LOL.

God Bless,
mik

I found some at Target by Champion, they are your bra size not S-M-L and have underwire. I tried on at least a dozen and those were the best I could find so far. I believe they were $15... they were in the bra section though, not the activewear section, go figure.

I go through enough trouble to find regular bra's ... and I never can find the right sports bra either. I just recently had to go up a cup size- yes my boobs are still growing as I am loosing weight. :banghead:.... So I went to lane bryant to get a cup size bigger, and she said they would have to special order it because they didn't carry a bigger size. They paid for shipping though and I just received them today- with a load of coupons.. which is great I love coupons..

Before I lost weight I was a 42, and now measuring at a 37.. which all fine and dandy- but still aggravated with the cup sizes.. I asked my doctor about breast reduction and she said there was no way they would consider it until I am in a "healthy" weight range- so whatever..

I have been looking around online for good sports bras- and offline when I go out, but its frustrating! Glad you posted this..

Tyra also did a show on sports bra's .. I might have to youtube around and see if I can find it and post it..

I'm not sure if these guys have anything over 40DD but you can check. I've been wanting to order from them for months but haven't done it yet.

I'm currently wearing a GG, and I get mine from Bravissimo, for any Brits reading this thread, and they're not just functional, they make pretty larger bras.

Melanie.

i got a shick absorber, i am usually a 34E but i got a 34DD and these boobs aint moving anywhere! they're really comfy too!!!!!

as unhelpful as it is..........its true......jogging aint gona help the case eitehr.......when they start to drop, thats when i find me a very good surgeon to yoink them back up again! lol

I'm a 36DDD :( I like Bali bras (Dillards/Nordstroms or I think any major dept store). I think they give me the best lift too. I've never tried really $$ ones though. I think the key is getting professionally fitted, so you know you have the right size. The band size is the most important!

For work outs, I double bag them lol! I wear a normal bra (often a minimizer) and a high impact sports bra. IT keeps them in so it doesn't hurt anyway :)
