Bodybugg

Has anyone seen those bodybuggs? I have been looking at them today. At first I thought it was an answer to all my troubles. Now, I'm really second guessing that.

Has anyone seen it, looked, bought? Liked? Disliked? Decided for or against?

Help!

I looked at these before too....

All I was really looking for was a portable heart rate monitor at the time, then found some info on this little sucker. An interesting gadget to say the least. But I really wonder how accurate it could possibly be? Seems awfully expensive and does the same type of thing a person could do with Fitday for a lot less money ($379 less atually) ;) I have lost more weight in the past three months by using fitday than any of the success stories on the bodybugg website..... But thats just me. To me it looks like a fancy thermometer and motion sensor. The fancy terms they use like "accelerometer, heat flux, glavanic skin response and such are just fancy ways to say the same things.

But, if by having that little gadget beeping and giving little body fat/temperature readings has a psychological effect in getting a person to think more about what they are eating, their calorie intake and exercising, I suppose that could be a remarkably good thing. Every little bit helps.

Sadly many people will see this simply as another quick and easy fix and I suspect many a bodybugg ends up packed away in the bottom of a drawer or closet next to all the other best intentions.

For my money fitday is the best thing to come down the weight maintenance highway ever. Regardless of what program, device or gadget a person uses, they still need to eat properly and do the exercise themselves. Show me the machine that will cook and feed me the right amounts of calories and foods and drag my butt out the door to the gym for me, and I will buy 2 right now!! ;)

Thanks Sirant!!! I'm sure our thoughts were the same on this one. Thanks a million for sharing your thoughts. I have a pretty good system figured out on my own. I count my calories fairly accurately, and I have a pretty good idea what my total daily energy expenditure is. So, I just can't justify the cost to get a 93% accurate energy expenditure. I'm sure I'm close enough w/o spending $400 +the monthly fee.

thanks again!
