I recently started using the tredmill at my local YMCA gym. I do 4 miles with it set at 4.0 speed( i think this is 4mph) for 4 miles. I do it in an hour. Then I walk 1/4 mile more to cool down. I did this 3 days in a row. my legs don't get sore because I have pretty good mucsles in my legs. I have gotten blisters on the balls of my feet, more on the left foot but both right behind the big toe. I run in decent running sneakers and was thinking those dr. scholls gellin pad might be the awnser or something. I have had it for 2 days and its less painful now and hasn't popped so I think I am gonna do 4 more miles on it tommorow anyway.
I would like to do 4 miles 5 days a week but if I keep getting blisters it stops my progress. I currently weigh 176 with clothes and hope to get to 150 as my first goal.
I am supplementing my cardio work with ECA, which I have been on since Wednesday. It really gives me the energy needed for longer workouts. Time will tell about the weight loss.
