Hi! I have been on a 500 calorie diet for the past year and today I ate 959 calories.. I'm so ashamed! I don't know what to do, if I should fast for a day, or work out for a long time but I can't handle the guilt.. How do I stay strong? I'm in desperate need! I feel like I failed! Should I eat less than 500 calories tomorrow to make up for it?
 
It's a bit late... but in case you are still around (and more importantly, alive): a 500 calorie diet is really unhealthy, and a 959 calorie day is not a binge day (it is still too low). Don't try to lose more than 1 kg per week. Give your body the energy and nutrition that it needs. Don't focus on losing weight as soon as possible, it's unhealthy and you will not be able to maintain it. Instead, focus on building healthy habits that you can sustain for the rest of your life; learn to enjoy exercise, and do it regularly (but not excessively), and eat healthy and tasty foods in good proportions.
