Hi, my name is Chris, I'm 23, male and from England.
I'm 5'9" and recently I have been as low as 11 and a half stone in weight, but that has, within 7 weeks, shot up to 13 stone 6 (190 lbs). This isn't the first time this has happened to me, but right now, things are getting really serious for me. This isn't normal binge eating. For 7 of the last 10 evenings, I have eaten a whole box (500g) of cereal, be it muesli, corn flakes, whatever IN ADDITION to my three normal meals a day. This is not even counting snacking.
This isn't due to hunger, I know I'm not hungry and it's making me feel sick, but I just can't stop. I'm pretty sure it's psychological, but can't be 100%. My stomach will be in agony from all i've eaten, yet I will just shove more down my throat. I'm starting to really worry as it's a cycle I just cannot stop and it's ruining my life as the weight gain is really starting to show on my chest and my belly and I'm refusing to go out to places because I am so conscious of how I look. I exercise fully 4 times a week for at least 45 mins but because of the amount of calories I consume, it barely makes a dent. Infact, it just makes me want to eat even more.
Would really appreciate any advice on this as I'm so down about the whole thing and it's taking me over. Would be grateful if no one talks about 'portions' either as that isn't the issue, it's the fact I just can't stop going to get more.
