For some reason my other account was banned. I thought that I have been a good board member. I have tried to help fellow board members out when needed. Got Daily rep and was bringing clients to this board. I have no idea why my old account was banned but if this is how the board is going to treat someone that helps out and brings traffic I will bring my helpful comment and client somewhere else. Guys please help me understand

I just logged in now and thought this thread was an explanation of why you were banned. Basically through the power of tracking you seem to have over 200 private messages soliciting your online training business.

Thats not being a good member.
 
Your privately spamming. Spam is not tolerated. I also provide online training, as do a few others here and I dont pm all the new people asking them to sign up with me.
 
I think they are right.... it creates division on the board. i sent you a pm asking what your deal was because you were touting about havin clients...
It makes the rest of us feel like prey, or left out, or like you have an agenda.... cuz you do.

we want a community, not a competition.

a physical competition or two is great though!!

how abou me and you?? we could do pullups, or pushups, or run, or swim, or bike, or starve ourselves, jump rope, curl weights...and see who can hang!! we will both be better for it. that's what this place is about.... for me... community!

for what it is worth, you seem sincere, just ditch the agenda brotha!

My $0.02:

If some stranger or bot spams people, they get banned.

If a contributing member does it, they get a warning and a chance to stop it first.
 
I don't like the idea of people coming on here soliciting business but I think we have a shortage of people who actually lift on this site so we need BigStew back. We definately have a shortage of BBers so he's really needed to provide balance too.

He's a nice and helpful guy who screwed up a little, please forgive him :)

Thank you and I made a mistake and will not continue to do. Please lift the bann on my old account
 
Since everyone is throwing their .02 cents around.... it seems common sense to me NOT to spam people with your services. IMO, let your knowledge speak for itself throughout the forum and this will give people the chance to see where you are coming from. If they believe you to be a fit in terms of trainer/trainee relationship, so be it.

But soliciting people privately is lame, again, IMO.

I totally understand the ban.

It also seems you are sincere and made a mistake, so hopefully you will be a positive contributor from this point forward.
 
I understand the ban too but we should remember that he's very young and when you mix youth with enthusiasm you'll always get a few judgement errors.

I've personally never heard anything negative or unsupportive from the guy so I hope he stays. Whether that be with his old ID or new one

How old is he?

I've been on the forums since I was a teen. Not necessarily this one.... and I've never spammed people. I've always understood that just like nobody appreciates being called at 9pm in the evening on a Monday by a solicitor, nobody appreciates web spam.

That said, we all operate under different value structures.... he realizes his mistake, so why not give him a second chance.
 
I am 20 and I understand it was spamming but I didnt send the message out to everyone. Only people that I beleived that could benefit from my services. It was wrong and will not happen again. BUt I am still looking for my ban to be lifted on my other name. I am sorry and just asking for a second chance. Thank you
 
Second chance granted. Just know that you will be watched in the future and if it does continue it will be an IP ban.

Mod, I think you made a good decision and I am pleased. I am glad Alex is back. I appreciate and respect his opinions and advice.
