Big Mac's Lifestyle Change

Haha, huge LEO guys are the best. :blush5:

I'm glad you had a good trip. Sounds like you have a plan/resolution comming back too. That's great, it should help with all your goals.

Tonight I tried something a bit different. Trader Joe's has an Organic Sprouted Wheat Pappardelle Pasta. Pretty much the same as the Barilla Plus as far as calories, one more g of protein and one less of fiber, so I consider it pretty much the same. The taste is really good. I've been eating sprouted wheat bread and there is a taste pop with it that is really good. The pasta has that, too.

Oh they are soooo good. Have them with whole fat soft cheeses if your body doesn't mind that stuff--I also put fig spread on top for sweetness. Thank goodness I was able to eat a reasonable portion and put it all away. The chips themselves are ridiculously ow in calories--4 servings a bag, 40 calories a serving.

That so works for me. I love the cheese and I'll save the calories just to pig out on cheese. We'll have brunch parties devoted to cheese, lately it's been out New Year's Day routine.

Good old cheese! I try to keep it raw, and from a goat because supposedly that's better for my A+ blood type....and it feels better on my digestion as well.

We'll usually go to the cheese store (I know, a whole store devoted entirely to cheese) and get a variety. Different milks, different countries, different textures. The cheese store is like a wine tasting. You go in and the clerk holds up a cheese plane and asks what you'd like to try. I love that place.

Oh yes, being in the wine industry makes me inadvertently remedially knowledgeable in cheeses :) I could use some more education, I'd LOVE to waste time in a cheese shop :D

yeah sorry Shaun! I work for a broker/distributer Mon-Fri, so I get to taste MUCHO wines, and the small winery I work for has EXCELLENT wine, I'll have to PM you sometime

We have a bunch of vineyards here and some of them have some real special wines. Some have some real dogs, but going to the vineyards is a fun way to spend the afternoon.

One wine shop that we go to has an annual tasting. Tickets are $50 and it includes food and all tasting. Last year they had 120 wines to taste (almost no local stuff) and 20 hard stuff, scotch, tequila, and such. We always reserve a cab for that night. Oh, and they sell it at a huge discount. We buy 90% of our wine for the year that night. Good times.

Nice! That's actually really cheap compared to California, for an event like that! I enjoy events like those, because I'm working them, but get paid to enjoy it pretty much the same as the guests but I just don't get quite as drunk ;)

I think the price is fantastic. Real good eats and great wines. Last year was quite crowded, though. They sold out all the tickets, so the place was packed. Still looking forward to it this year.

Haha, hijack as much as ya like. Lord knows I haven't been using this thing much lately. The back pain is almost gone though, can't wait to get started on P90x in addition to some more gym time.
