Bicep flexing - odd question

ok I have an odd question I have been wanting to ask for quite a few years now:

- anyway - ever since I was little I have been into strength and weight training activities - as far back as I can remember I have been known as "a kid with big arms" for my size

- I had always been able to flex my Biceps to the point where instantly they were fully pumped and it felt like if I continued flexing - my biceps would explode or pop (I could keep flexing until I seriously strained my muscle)
(similar to the feeling you get a day after an intense bicep workout -when the bicep feels ripped and sore- only I had this feeling on command regardless of ever working out or not)

-I had this super flex feeling (rock hard to the touch) up until I was around 18 years old (I am now 24 but I still weigh and essentially look the same - 5'8, 130-140 lbs)

- So since that period I have noticed that I can no longer flex my Biceps like I used to be able to - now I can barely feel the tension on my contraction/flex and it seems a lot more difficult and takes longer to reach a full flex (I have to really concentrate and I shake sometimes - while I never did before)

- my Biceps used to feel rock hard to the touch during flexion - they now feel somewhat softer

-I must say I have never been a dedicated weight lifter (just someone who could naturally lift what others usually have to train to achieve - but still, I never stopped being athletic - so this loss of Bicep tightness/flex ability is not do to a decline in activity

-the only possible reasons I can come up with are:
1. since about 17-18 years of age I stopped eating meat and also all junk foods (so it could be due to nutritional deficiency but I doubt it because I am fairly careful with that)

2. I started wearing warmer clothing for cardio training to test my heat tolerance (I say this because I used to have cold hands all of the time and sometimes cold arms make your biceps feel tighter?)

3. my arms have possibly grown a little since that age and possibly can't contract in the same manner or maybe the muscle fibres have changed from a power to an endurance quality?

- My main question is: Why would this happen - has anyone else experienced something like this?

If you aren't on a scheduled weight training then I'm not surprised. You were a mesomorph in your earlier years, meaning you gained muscle easily without a true plan while others had to work hard to gain. Now that you are getting older, you wont gain as easily as you have in the past.

Start a weight training routine and eat healthy, and you'd be surprised with your results
