better pics of before and after, 102 lbs lost

great transformation bro just starting out on my weight loss.
was just wandering did you lose weight before you stared weight training or after you lost the weight???

p.s sick sleeves you look badass now...!!!!

i lost most of the weight first, probably 85lbs or so, then began the weight training. good luck with your transformation.

well figured i would update again. been real busy with spring time and all. a lot of work to do in the gardens and around the property. plus i gotta get out on the harleys when i can. still around 179/180 pounds. i have missed some cardio with all the work around the house, but have stuck to my weight training without missing a workout. i dont think i need the cardio as much as i used to cause i dont really need to lose any more weight, but i still feel bad when i miss it. as far as eating im still doing good, but slipping up a day or two a week. i cant wait till all the spring work is done to get back on track. the good part about all the work is i am burning a ton of calories doing it, so i can eat more, but again i feel guilty when i do. i think my lower stomach is still tightening as well as my skin, hope it keeps going. pretty much checking in just cause it helps get me back on track and keep me motivated. hope your all doing well with your programs, im pulling for yah.

Wowsers.. those first two pics could be Father and son!!!

Amazing transformation man! Well done :D

You look amazing... Well done. I am always curios so please pardon the question but did you have excess skin? if not how did you manage that? Thanks a lot and congratulations on a job well done.

Again: awesome. It's good to hear you've got some skin tightening and followthrough with the toning! Keep up the good work!

thanks everyone. i fell off a little this summer. didnt really gain any weight but i am not as lean as i was. i re injured and old shoulder injury and had to take it easy with the lifting. that steamrolled into me pushing to hard with the diet and exercise and i caused myself to pass out and crack my head open. after a visit to the emergency room for that i decided to take it easy for a while.

i am getting back into it now and just pushing through the shoulder pain. i reevaluated my workout and decided that since i am getting older there is no need to have 300lbs on the bar anymore. i will drop all my weight for my reps to 30lbs less and just do twice the reps. its a better fat burner anyway. with that and getting back to running 3 miles a day i should stay lean and fit.

as an update i am about 187lbs right now, only a few lbs heavier than i was in my peak conditioning, but i lost muscle and gained fat so i am more like 10lbs off. so i have to just gain the muscle back that i lost and loose the couple of fat lbs i gained.

i know it sounds ridiculous, but there is a big difference in how i feel and look with that little bit.

well i am back at it. i did change my work out to lighter weights cause of the shoulders. i actually went to the doctor for them and received cortisone shots in both, wow what a difference living without the pain makes. i am so much more motivated again. i have to go for an mri on the one this week and have been going to physical therapy for them. my workouts have improved and i have gotten back to the running and i am sure it is just cause i feel less pain.
i just purchased a bowflex tread climber and the p90x system as christmas presents to myself and will be getting started on them soon. i have already used the tread climber and i have to say you get a good sweat going pretty fast. so far i believe it is a good machine. i did buy used from craigslist, they are expensive new. i will let you know how the p90x thing works out.

Awesome work! I was surfing the web looking for a good weight loss forum...Your transformation made me sign up!
Gotta find out what your workout plan was, our body shapes (your starting shape) is about the same, and I can use an idea of what your excersise routine is!
Awesome~:patriot:

well i received the results from my mri and its not good news. i have a torn tendon in my right shoulder. now i will get an mri on the left shoulder and its probably the same thing or worse cause the pain is worse and the symptoms and looseness are similar. once we know everything thats going on we will figure out what to do. as for know i am going to keep working out and running, the cortisone is still working. i would love to just leave the shoulders be without surgery, but it is the only cure. if they could just keep the pain from coming back i would say screw it, cause i dont want to loose everything i worked so hard for. all i can say is this sucks.
