Best time to weigh

hello there!
i religiously weigh myself at the start of the week, when I’ve got up, after I’ve been to the toilet, before breakfast and totally naked. I do that every Monday so that I'm hopefully not holding anymore water than last week, and the weight of my clothes are not involved, so that i get the truest measure of weight loss possible for that week.
i always wonder what other people do concerning there weight days so this is a helpful thread.

good luck in your weight loss xxx

Just as others have said, I also weigh myself after my morning movement. (thanks to a fiber friendly diets, it's like clock work) I too usually go for as little clothes as possible because your body weight is important, not the weight of your jeans and sweater.

I weigh each Saturday, just after waking up and going to the loo, and before eating, again no clothes. The only reason I weigh saturday is because I started weight loss on a Saturday, so it's part of my routine.

I weigh myself every saturday morning. If I forget then I weigh myself on the next morning I remember.

Damn, those scales sure to make me nervous!

I weigh myself in the moring, just after I get up and use the bathroom. It's apparently your true weight. And I only weigh myself on Mondays (coming off the weekend) and then on Thursdays (going into the weekend).

How often should I weigh in?

How often should I weigh in? Weekly? Bi-weekly? I don't want to weigh myself every day. I've done that before and found it discouraging.

I personally weight myself like every week, sometimes more often sometimes more rarely. But the important thing is to weight yourself at the same time of the day - best in the morning before breakfast. Good luck with your goals! :)

How often do you weigh yourself?

Just wondering how often people weigh themselves.
I used to do it weekly or more often in past attempts to lose weight.
Now that I have joined spa lady I get monthly updates where they will check my weight and measurements. I joined 3 weeks ago so next week I will see where I am at. I am only gonna weigh myself once a month. I think that will help me cause when I weigh myself once a week and I haven't lost anything I get unmotivated then fall into a rut.
What do you guys do? Which way has worked best for you?

I weigh every morning, because I've never gained a significant amount of weight when I did weigh every day, and I've never lost a significant amount of weight when I didn't weigh every day.

I weight myself every morning. My doctor told me to do it only once a week, because you don't lose weight every day and you might get frustrated then. But nevertheless I do it, because I am so curious to know about my progress. :blush5: Well, but this also means that I have to put up with the frustration which comes up from time to time when the scalle doesn't show me a change. Maybe I should really change my behaviour...

Morning,

I generally weigh myself once a day if I know my plateau has been broken, or once a week if it hasn't.

Enjoy,

Barbara

Curiosity killed the cat, yet I still do it every morning. :banghead:

Daily weighing makes you aware of the normal fluctuations but also shows upward and downward trends based on our eating habits. We know that we will weigh more the morning after a bad day of eating so we should expect that the scale should be fluctuating upwards, and we know if we want to see the scale trend lower we need to be good with our eating. Very often the fluctuations have no rhyme or reason, but just as often they are highly reflective of our eating over the prior day or two. We know we can quickly get off weight that's just gone up from a bad day or two, but on the other hand, when the weight is not quickly going back down then we know its sticking and we need to get serious. I use the scale as a wake-up call / reality check :smash:.
