I work the graveyard shift at a group home for troubled teens so my schedual is all out of wack compaired to "normal" people. Does anyone have any advise about when the best time to exercise would be? I am not sure if I should try to get it out of the way before I go to bed after work, after I wake in the afternoon, or take care of it before I go to work. My usual schedual is work from 10pm to 8am, take the boyfriend to work and get home around 9am, in bed by 10am, sleep until 4pm, pick up the boy from work then get home to make dinner.
Any ideas on where and how to start would get a great help. Thanks!

the best time for you to exercise is when you have time to do it - and when you are able to do it... So what fits into your schedule.

As a long time insomniac -I've read often that you shouldn't exercise about 2 hours before bedtime -but if sleep isn't a problem - then exercise when is good for you...

You just want to make sure that you're alert when your exercising so you don't hurt yourself..

If you worked 9 - 5, when would you excersise?
If it would be early in the morning, then wake up earlier than you would for your shift and excersise then. It will give you energy for your work day.
