I've always wondered if you're allowed to eat more calories when sick. Right now I caught a bad case of sinusitis (or something close to that) and I feel really bad. I've already eaten meals that should be pretty filling (couscous with oilive oil and a few vegetables, which is nearly 400 calories + a peanut butter bar, 170 calories) yet I am still as hungry as if I hadn't eaten.
I don't want to eat more, because I would go over my daily calorie count, yet I don't want to starve, either!
Does the body burn more calories when sick, or is it the same? Can I eat more even though I'm worried of gaining weight? I can't work out in my condition. I don't feel good enough for it.
