Before - a few years ago - at 320 lbs
I dropped from 320 to 176 and started working out, eventually came back up to 210 and have held it there for awhile. Constantly getting stronger and better!

and here I am now...

I found this board while looking for forums about the master cleanse, and I have never posted before and afters anywhere, so I thought this might be the place to do it.
Anyhow, that's 5 years of hard work :)
I run 30-40k a week now, and exercise 4-5 times a week at the gym and watch my diet very carefully. I really love the way my body is now, and work hard to always improve.
Good luck to anyone else trying to lose weight, it's not easy, but it's definitely rewarding.

Wow how awesome is that. I have been trying for over a year and am close but maintaining the weight will be harder for me.So I am happy to know that you are doing it and doing well.

Wow that's some change! This will be a good thread for the men on the forum as most of the pics are of ladies.

What a hottie! Great job, you are very inspiring. Where were you in the Now pics? The water looks so clear and inviting.

Dude, you look so hott! That is wonderful! Congratulations! Looks like that five years was really worth it.

Wow you look great , it's time to go on Maury Povich or something (assuming that shows still runnig :) ? )

Is that Bermuda? Water looks incredible.

Wow - you got super yummy!! ;) Congratulations! Thanks for posting. It's always nice to see success stories... especially on the bad days.

The beach in the first one is Orient Bay in St. Maarten, and the second one is at Dunn's River Falls beach in Jamaica. Thanks for all the feedback!
Just for some general info.... I lost most of this weight on a modified atkins style diet - Low carb, but not alot of meat - and mostly chicken or turkey. Lots of fresh vegetables and fruit, with an emphasis on eating quality food. It was basically just a back to basics diet... I stayed away from anything processed or ready to eat.
Now though, I'm in training for racing medium distance runs - 8-21k, and have bumped up my carb intake, but I run and train so much it doesn't matter anymore.
I'm also on day 8 of the master cleanse right now aahhhh!

Wow

Dear Thread,
I've been looking for some encouragement to get started loosing weight. Your picture at the beach really encouraged me.
I went to Los Cabos Mexico last year (at 270 pounds) with my beautiful girlfriends (all around 120 - 130 pounds). It was very hard for me...and your picture at the beach, all nice and ripped was a great reminder that next time I go to Mexico - I want to enjoy myself instead of worrying about people staring at me, etc.
I'm going to start today with my diet.

Thanks so much for sharing your pics!

Wow that is amazing, congratulations. Wish I could of went with you to all of those beautiful places, lord knows I need a vacation.

Can we say HOTTIE!

Wow that is absolutely incredible - you must be soo proud of yourself when you look back at where you were and where you are today! I have been working at losing weight and it will be 2 yrs. in January since I started. People see that I have lost weight but everyone asks how long it has taken me - sometimes makes me feel like my weight loss thus far isn't as good since it has taken me longer than others. Thanks for posting your pics and some info - makes me realize it is just as great no matter how long it takes!

This thread will be a majour encouragement for me on my path to losing weight, I'm about the same weight you were and trying to get down to around 225. Have any good tips?

I don't know if there's any tips for losing weight. You have to change your state of mind. From dealing with being overweight and avoiding the fact that you are, you have to really take responsibility for your own health and well being. Make yourself look in that mirror or see your reflection in the window. It's not easy. Making myself look at my body without trying to delude myself from what I was seeing and then getting to see the changes as I started to lose weight was one of the biggest factors as I started to lose.
However, if you need more incentive than that... you will gain a few inches as you remove fat from behind your package. There's also the confidence you get from feeling more attractive and having way more energy as well.
Losing weight really is a difficult thing at the start, but once you start to see and feel the changes in your body, it snowballs. Change begets greater change, at least in my experience.
You will always battle your weight though, dieting isn't something that you do for a time. I personally don't like the term "diet" or "dieting".... it should be called "diet modification" or "diet adjustment"... because a diet shouldn't be something with a fixed beginning or end. I'm constantly adjusting my diet to coincide (sp?) with my activity level... and it's something I hope to do for the rest of my life.
