BEAT the NEW YEARS EVE CROWD!

I started on this site when I'm usually like 180, but if you can guess, i've ballooned up and down.


So I've seen 200s, even 207.


So, I wanted to beat the NYE crowd, and here I am again and again!!


Just need a place to post my thoughts, and excel just doesn't cut it.

I stopped coming around on my first weight loss journey. I used a different screen name then. I stopped coming and my weight loss stopped. Since I've been back, I've continued to lose weight. This place is great and helps a bunch!
 
Before I go out, I thought i'd write what i ate.


breakfast

2 tbsp pb

2 whole wheat waffles

2 tbsp honey


lunch

1 whole freakin' can of black beans

2 servings whole wheat pasta w/ alfredo and pesto sauce

1 tostado to scoop black beans with..til i got a spoon


exercise

20 min cycle

12 min treadmill interval


barely broke a sweat. i'm going out again. I really wanna see less than 200 thoughhh!
 
went out last night


ate 4 halves of dungeness crab deviled egg with aioli

1 oz pork rib

5 tortilla chips w/ 1tbsp dip

4" width, 4" length pepperoni and pear pizza

lime juice and vodka

12oz chardonnay



Today

Woke up, didn't feel drunk. weighed in 201.2


Breakfast

2 servings of whole wheat pasta w/ alfredo and pesto sauce


Lunch

3 servings of whole wheat pasta w/ tomato sauce and alfredo and pesto sauce


Until lunch, I've drank 8 cups of water, trying to be more conscious about drinking water. I came home at 245 am and got into bed by 3am, woke up at 9am and feeling quite tired still. A little sluggish, probably because I don't have a checklist! ;)


I ate tons of carbs today, no veggies, and i reckon i already ate 2,000 calories with just 5 servings of pasta. I want to eat some protein, man, i need to eat some veggies.


i feel a laggggg today. so wack!

DAY 1 (the irony...)

Thoughts

Hey Sarah! It's crazy how yesterday, I looked at myself in the mirror, I don't do that often since I'm so fat these days, and I was so freakin' crazed at how i had a double chin! OMG! I hate being in the 200s! THIS IS RIDICULOUS. My skin isn't even the tightest and I'm turning 23 in less than a week-- I'm freaking out.


Nevertheless, I go to the gym and can't put in more than 30 minutes of cardio cause I'm so lazy.....Vicious cycle, I tell you!!


I wanted to create some (fun?) resolutions, but can't pinpoint ones I want to abide by, such as no soda for a year, or no cheese for a year? Nah...

I'm Korean, but don't eat Korean foods often. More so chinese! Like, chinatown chinese, the dirtier the better! ;)

I did eat some soup that is based on korean culture, delicious.


I stopped eating around 4pm and still pretty full, so I doubt I'll eat anything the rest of the day.

The numbers from my blood work about 3 months ago were all in the normal range, even my cholesterol and hormones. No PCOS to blame the weight.

Exercise

I BOUGHT A BODY CHAMP CARDIO DUAL TRAINER!!! It's an elliptical and upright bike all in one. I love it. My brother helped me assemble it and although it wobbles just standing, I've gotten on it for a few minutes and raised my heart rate already. I got used to the wobbling, but I'll ask my brother to check it out when he comes back home. There is absolutely NO excuse not to exercise. I live such a sedentary life having a sedentary job (teacher) and love my 27" iMac, there's no more excuse. I can exercise while I watch my shows, and when I get tired I can sit down and pedal as if I am on a bike.

My goal is to increase my cumulative time to 60-90min daily!!


Thoughts

I've been a member of this site for over 4 years (with weight GAINED), and every NYE there is a huge influx of new diaries, doesn't seem like that this year. Weird? Don't get me wrong, it's good that people aren't making some crazy astronomical declaration of change, like I am.


The veteran posters don't lurk or post much, why? cause they are out there being ACTIVE! GO MOVE! I say it with love...

30min AM <---I was really tired even before 5 minutes settled in!! But I pushed through...

30min Noon 12 <--- not that painful, but damn I need to put that rug under the machine, my hardwood floors are gettin' ugly!

Diet

730AM- 1 cup black coffee, 1 cup cheerios, 1/2 cup fat free milk

1130AM- 3oz pork belly and 3oz fried fish

6pm- 1 huge spinach, olives, tomatoes, fire roasted red pepper, artichoke heart salad w/ tahini dressing, can of light tuna

2 pork belly ribs, 2 tostada circles w/ 2 tbsp sour cream.

Calories: ~1300



Thoughts

I was craving some pork belly so I had some and definitely love eating to fulfill my wants rather than boredom. I gotta go study and take a real good look at my schedule, see if I can fit it all in! Gotta make some executive decisions in my life.

I'm going to Vegas Fri Night to Sunday Noon, so I think I can do 30min Friday AM and then 60min Sunday PM. Buffet? Let's not talk about that. CAUSE I BE A FOOD LOVER! Just kidding. Will address the matter when the date gets closer. <3


GOAL STATUS!!!!


1. LOG IN 420 MINUTES A WEEK. If I want a day off, well, I best work a little bit longer the other days!!! Will post as a fraction under Day heading. So far, 165/420.

2. Weight-wise, I'd like to weigh in every 3rd day. Day 1, 4, 7, etc.

3. Calorie-wise, I can get really anal about calorie counting, but I've such a veteran dieter, I ball park everything pretty accurately, therefore, I won't jot down the calories, but keep a mental note. I am a human calculator after all....
 
I like your goals...Congrats on Busting 200. I remember when I busted 300 a couple of years ago (I almost got back to it but narrowly avoided it). Now you just gotta get a little more distance away from that 200 mark and you will gain more monentum...Fight the good fight!
 
brawny77, thanks for stopping by and the comment! YESSS buying a cardio machine has given me a lot of motivation and seeing 199.8 this morning, before exercise, was pure shock!!!!


I mean, c'mon, I ate freaking ball tip sandwich that had mayo and sauces all over it! Don't forget the sweet potato fries either!!


My thighs are sore and so are my arms. I'm loving the pain!!!! Hahaha, What is actually scary is that I do the lowest setting on this machine and I'm freaking sweaty after 30 minutes! Will I ever reach the highest setting?


I need to keep this momentum up and up! This machine is so fun!!!!

Thanks for stopping by my diary! Love your photos..thanks for sharing! I'm right where you are in the weight range... congratulations on breaking the 200 point! That's my goal (had hoped to be there by 1 Jan, but I was 3 pounds short of that, so keeping up the routine to make sure by Feb, I'm there!)

Keep up the discipline to keep on that machine...it will make a big difference! You are not alone...and neither am I! We'll make the journey together!

Thoughts

I started my womanly month yesterday, spotting. But I think tonight and tomorrow, I will be in the full throttle, but man, that's when I go to VEGAS! Pooey! I worked out a little bit harder this afternoon, so I got sweaty within 5 minutes, not 10 minutes. Crazy! I wanted to do 90 minutes in one session, but I got hungry at 55minutes, so I stopped at 60 minutes. I just decided I'll do another 30 minutes, but in a few minutes because I want my ceviche to digest!

I have to say, the DOMS i've experienced yesterday are nearly gone. This consistent soreness I'm feeling the past 48hours is something I've grown accustomed to. Yes? Yeah, my muscles are no longer unemployed. They are workin' the fields...hehehe


I feel the difference in my neck, if that's possible. The double chin area doesn't feel so dense when i put my chin down to my chest. That's all good news!!

Remember: I am about to start my period full force and I already feel and see the bloat that usually isn't there. Shucks. I am totally not looking forward to weighing in tomorrow, I'll do it on Friday...

Thoughts

Since i've been working out so frequently and for long periods of time, I feel like my body is constantly burning burning. The soreness all over my thighs and arms and the my abdomen intestines just squeezing and tensioning! I love it.


My trip to Vegas is going to throw things off a little bit

Funny how workout soreness is good soreness huh? That also means you are building more muscle and more muscle burns way more calories.

Thoughts

I woke up today feeling alright, after I did my 30min workout this morning, I went to the bathroom. Talk about a revved metabolism. I shouldn't have drank coffee because I felt a little dehydrated while drinking it, but I drank water with it and went to the bathroom again. Maybe all that asian food my stomach did not like. I forgot my lunch at home so I had nothing to eat, what was better than to starve was to get what the kid's get for lunch. Don't get me wrong, the grilled cheese was pretty good, but I knew it was quite unhealthy. I also ate a bag of multigrain chips which were delicious.

I should wake up earlier to put in more time on this trainer. EUGH! Waking up late shortens my workout time!!


I feel a less compacted double chin, I feel like I sit up and stand up taller. It's all positive here. I just know my stomach is a stubborn place to lose size, and often, weight loss in the face is most visible.


I realized I need to keep up this 420 minutes. When I've previously dieted, I was capable of losing 10 pounds in 14 days, and I still hold that expectation even with a trip to Vegas. If I reach that goal, which will be a huge boost of confidence, I'll increase my workout time to 500minutes/week, so essentially, all I will be doing every day is workout, study, work, study, and workout again. All day everyday.


I am hitting more of a rhythm with each day of exercising. I really love this machine, but I don't want to miss the opportunity to return this machine for a full return and find something else that will "surprise" my body into more fat loss.


You see? I've read it all, been there all, and want to do it this time.
