Beach Body... help!

I'm at my wits end. I don't know what else to do that will work. I haven't been able to wear a bikini since my son was born. He's five now and I'm 23. I'm not over weight, but I'm also not in great shape. My major problem is just my belly. I can't get rid of it. I also don't have time to spend hours every week in the gym. It's hard enough to find time at home. I am finishing college and working 2 jobs... while trying to take care of a rambunctious 5 year old. I eat healthy, I don't over eat. I spend a lot of time playing with my son, as well as walking around campus and one of my jobs is waitressing, so I lead an active life.

All I need is a fool proof, not very time consuming way to get a flat (or at least in shape) belly. We plan on spending a lot of time at te beach this summer and I want to be able to wear a bikini and look my age.

I have 2-3 months to get in shape.

Run, Row and Ride I would say, anything that will work you aerobically. Get your heart beating for a good amount of time...

You either need to burn more calories through more activity or consume fewer calories, or do a bit of both. When you say you eat healthy what does your diet consist of? Are you eating some of your meals from the restaurant you're waitressing at? Restaurant food is typically higher in calories, fat and sodium, although I am generalizing. Are you eating whole grain breads, pastas and brown rice, or the white variety? Are you eating a good breakfast which includes some quality protein? Are you keeping pop, candy, alcohol and deserts to a minimum?

On the activity front, you could consider high intensity interval training. Again in general, you'll burn more calories from HIIT in a shorter period of time than from traditional cardio, so given your lack of time it would be one of the more efficient ways to get in extra exercise if you can fit it in. Given your very full schedule it may be easier to adjust the diet than add to your already active lifestyle. Hope this helps.

Eat less, move more....if you think it's tough now, wait until your 35+

I actually prefer a woman in a sassy-cut one-piece to a bikini. If you can't pull-off the bikini righteously, then don't. There are plenty of one-piece outfits that'll bring the drool and eye's burning. You're departing from that youthful age where your body just wants to be lean & tight. Wait until your 10-year reunion, and by the 20-year even the skinny kids will have guts. Best you get on it now. It takes more work and discipline in diet, but I see plenty of woman go well into their 50's and even 60's looking pretty tight. I mean, I wouldn't hit it...but Focus or Karky might ;)

Thanks babe- but I'm not 35 :( I have been wearing one pieces since I was 18, thanks to my son. I am young enough to be able to get in good enough shape to pull a bikini off. I am not in terrible shape now, but I agree-- You shouldn't wear a bikini unless you can do it well. I refuse to do it until there is nothing left to hide. I amjust trying to find the best way to do that. I know there is no such thing as being able to pick on spot to work on, it's a whole body thing. I'm not used to actual "working out". But I need to get used to it. I'm not an athlete in highschool anymore, I can't get by with just being young and active. I wasn't gifted like some other girls. I actually have to work at it.

All I'm asking for is some advice.... what are some of the best routes to take?
