basics of training - books

I know this will seem fairly basic, but I'm looking for a good text book or site that basically pins down the stuff you need to know for training etc..

I loved exrx.net for all the muscles and exercise stuff....and trawl thru bodybuilding.com articles too. But my printers going on strike and I'd love to get some organised info about muscle fibres....training principles...training styles...all the basics I need to look at.

Ive heard of one I think its "Exercise Science"...

anyone got any recommendations? or anyone got any downloads etc?
