At a stand still

I need to get back on the track. I have been working real hard and lost the first 20lbs but I have come to a stand still. I increased my calories and then started over so we will see what happens. I am currently sitting at 205 but I would be so happy to get down to at least 180. I feel bad when I get on my horses, they act like I weigh 350. I think they know I am self concious and they use it against me. Today I had about 5 shrimp with a little zuckinie and sliced tomatoes for breakfast and then a salad with tomatoes and a cup of soup. It is my grandaughters bday today and we are all going to dinner so this will be my hurdle for the day. I can walk away from the cake but Chinese food will get me everytime!

First, congratulations on making the decision to get back on track. How many calories are you going for a day? When you plateau, there are a couple things that can real help you. Increasing your calorie intake for 2-3 days by about 200 calories will do a semi-reset. Lower your calories back down to a healthy level after the 2-3 day and see how your body reacts! The other is strength training! Our bodies love having muscle and muscle burns fat! The more lean muscle we build, the less likely we will plateau. And if you do workout regularly, make sure to change up your routine every thirty days. Our bodies are meant to adapt, so keep it guessing!! And happy birthday to your granddaughter =).
