Asian need help

Hello forum

Im Ash from Malaysia.
Im 156 and 5'7"
I know my weight sounds ok but i still hv some problem with my body. I was fat when i was small and now im 18.
My problem is, I still have excess fat on my chest and my abs still hv some fat hanging down. My legs are not toned and as a whole, my body looks terrible.
I don't know where else to seek better ways to be fitter than to look help at this forum.

So i need some advice on how to start and give me good explanation about it and what kind of workout plan should i follow. I've read thru a lot of tips but i don't understand what are the terms.

And about the diet, our staple food is rice. Is there any other better way to watch my diet other than just the western food.

I hope everyone could be helpful cuz i think i really need to change my image now.

Cheers!

Do you have any pictures? It might just be that you need to add a little more muscle rather than cut the fat.

What kind of exercise do you do and what's your diet like?

The last thing you want to do is follow a Western diet! Most of us are fat! :) Whole-grain rice would work, along with--say it with me, class--lots of plants. (I am trying to come up with different ways of saying "eat lots of vegetables and fruit".)

Other than that, some form of cardio most days of the week, at least 30 minutes. You can get by with less if it's vigorous, but more is almost always better if you can do it. And some form of resistance training, 2-3 days per week. (Or you can do like me, work different parts of the body different days, and lift six days per week. But I'm nuts like that.)

Hope this helps, make it happen!
