Arm Wrestling

simple question wats the best way to get better? im not weak but im just not very good at it, just wanna show the bigger guys im not a weakling

to get the technique i guess you have to arm wrestle.. i got the same problem, not alot weaker than other guys.. but while everyone else was armwresteling from 8th to 10th grade, i just though it was a waste of time and not much fun, so i now have crap tecnique and anyone can beat me:p

Same here, it was only a couple months ago that a 6'1", 150Lbs guy beat me in an arm wrestle. I was pissed coz i'm way bigger and stronger (see my sig) than he is but i guess there is alot in technique, or at least i'd like to think so

Yeah, last weekend I got owned by just about everyone in the room at arm wresting. The saddest part was I'm the only one that really worked out.

All Technique

I attended the Arnold Classic in Columbus in early March this year. They had a guy that was taking 17-HD by Vyotech (a test enhancement product that claims to increase strenght). This guy was at a demo booth and was arm wrestling anyone that was willing. This guy was not all that huge either although visibly fit.

I saw a guy with arms as big as a tree trunk take on the Vyotech guy and get beat. Of course I had to try next believe me I am fit, but nothing compared to the goliath he just whipped. I politely asked him not to tear my arm off and went at it. Of course he beat me, but he used his whole body to take me down. I did not know this was allowed and would have called him a cheat if he couldn't kill me. I was told this is legal and is part of the TECHNIQUE when arm wrestling (not 100% sure on this).

In either case the Vyotech guy was impressive and if you want to check out the product, here is a link to it . I am not going to stand here and tell you it was the secret to his success, but you should have seen the guy he beat. I tried some samples from the show and it really does pump you up.

Well, good luck with the arm wrestling.

I have always been pretty good at arm wrestling. The very first thing to do is to own their arm. Do this by immediately pulling them toward you as soon as you hear "go". Then own their wrist - get over top of them so their wrist is forced backwards (this is where all of those curls you have been doing pays off) and you can bring your body weight to bear. Believe me if you can master these two moves you can beat darn near anyone.

17-HD Response

17-HD is legal, you can find it in local retail vitamin stores. It is just like any testosterone enhancement supplement such as Fizogen ON-Cycle etc... It is an anabolic testosterone booster, not a steroid.

I just mentioned it because this is what the guy at the Arnold was taking. It is up to you to do the research and decide if it is right for you.

Take Care,

Ed

I think it's mostly forearm strength unless you use your body. I know this guy at my work bowls a lot and he has some big forearms. My biceps are quite a bit bigger than his, and triceps, actually just about everything except his forearms, and he still beat me. So I think it's a combination of improving your grip and working your forearms, if you pull toward you, it might be more like a lat pulldown, hehe. Cheater. But it is honestly much different than everything else, because I remember that when I was only like 5' 11" and 145 I beat my friend who was 5' 10" and 230 and he DID work out.

Over The Top! heheh..ne1 remember that movie? I suppose if you're serious about arm wrestling there's a bunch of different things to learn n to perfect..but if u do it occassionally at school..then you shouldn't have to worry about having arm wrestling as the medium for determing who's stronger.

Like ne other sport where strength is involved..such as shotputting. You have to have a quick start n powerful start, if you make the first move, most likely, you're going to win because of the strength you started out with. Its all about having that burst of speed n strength when its time to go. For shotputting, I trained my guys to run 30yard dashes..trying to use 100% of their strength the first few steps..because that's how it is with shotputting, if you start powerful n strong, you end powerful n strong. It most likely goes well for arm wrestling too, if you start fast n powerful, you will end up powerfully.

I'm no expert in arm wrestling, but, it does remind me of shotputting..since it requires speed n strength in a small area.

Train all the muscles that tie in to the glenohumeral joint of the shoulder - specifically pecs and internal rotatorso of the shoulder. Thus, bench press and equivelant + internal rotation with cables, dumbells.
