Hello. WHat are your comments on the above mentioned topic guys? I would like to share my personal opinion with you all. I was really fat before and i had unhealthy eating habits. But then i realized its time now to lose weight and then after 2 years of hardwork i am in great shape today. I NEVER OPT FOR ANY SUPPLEMENTATION. because i personally do not believe on it. What do you have to say over it?

HI danielpearl, I'm wondering why you don't believe in supplementation? I personally do, but not just any supplements - only good, whole food supplements that have not been processed with heat. I have done a lot of study on the subject and looked at clinical studies about what good supplements, bad supplements, and no supplements do to a body long term and the ones that I use won hands down repeatedly. I know a lot of doctors say all supplements are alike or they say you can get all your nutrients from food. I suppose the latter used to be true but now with depleted soils, picking things early, packaging, pesticides, etc. that isn't true any more. Anyway, I'll be interested to hear what has turned you off to supplements. I recently lost 33 lbs and was on supplements not to lose the weight but to help me be healthy.

I do not use supplements to lose weight - but I think that a lot of people benefit from supplements like omega-3. There are only so many times a week that you are likely to eat salmon.

Similarly, a lot of women do not have enough calcium in their diet. If they cannot eat enough calcium containing foods and are aware of it - then surely it is better to take a supplement and not risk osteoporosis in later life.
