Are my arm muscles getting damages?

i'm kinda over weighted and used to walk about 6 months (at least 1 hour per a day)...

recently i got serious and have started push ups and because im amateur i started with girly push ups (im a boy) means knees on the ground and did push ups like 10 times and a little resting (by doing other kind of exercises) and again 10 times more and after that i kinda can push up (manly one) near 2 or 3...(the one that stomach gets near 1 centimeter to ground and not on the knees but on the feet)...

after continuing like 3 days and facing the pain, i realized that i cant even make the girly push ups to 15 times because my muscles got weak suddenly (i think they were exhausted)...
but the day after was normal...

was it normal and temporarily?something to worry??and is this method im going on good or should i add or remove something?Thanks..

Recovery is one of the most important aspects of resistance training. So when you do any resistance exercise, especially when you first begin, you should always have at least one day of rest between exercise bouts. If you experience a lot of soreness, you should try waiting until that muscle group is no longer sore before exercising it again.

No worries. If you want to do resistance training every day, just find exercises that target different muscle groups.
