Appendicitis... way to Ruin a Bulking Cycle

Well here is my story I have been bulking for about 6 months, I have been doing pretty well to be honest I have been doing it slowly and have gained about 10-15lbs(don't really weigh myself that often). Most of it IMO is muscle judging by the mirror.

About a week ago, I had AWFUL abdominal pain and felt like I was constipated. The pain got so bad I went to the doctor who sent me straight to ER. After a CAT scan, I learned my appendix had literally exploded. The immediately cut me open and operated. I have been in the hospital for the past week. For the first three days I couldn't have anything but liquids and did not feel like eating at all. And the following days I had almost no appetite.

Now, I still have no appetite(basically just eating because I have to), have to take 2 anti-bacterials that make me dizzy, pain medication which makes me completely out of it AND CANNOT lift anything MORE than 15 pounds for 4-5 weeks and cannot do any "Strainuous Activities".

All that story to ask what my diet should look like? Surplus to recover? Maintenance?

Mate I know this isnt what yo want to hear about 10 months ago the same thing happened to me appendicitus, surgery, lost of appetite etc etc..

I lost 2 stone in 6 months mostly muscle after that. Im surrently just over 10 stone at the minute.

Im currently on a mission to get that weight back

I weighed myself the other day and seen I had gone from 185 down to about 170-72... hoping its mostly water though they were pumping water through my IV

You might want to ask the doctor about the dizziness, as that's normally a characteristic of an adverse event for aminoglycoside antibiotics (vestibular toxicity). You should probably be put on another..

Yeah i have my post surgery apt. in a few days, good idea.

Well, I can understand your frustration. But I was reading an article in a magazine for men the other day... and it said that 5g of creatine per day when in a stage of injury can really help your muscle deteriorate less while your in this off period.
