Anyone on P90X?

don't forget that The first 30 days emphasizes higher protein and lower carbohydrates to teach the user the relationship between carbohydrates and energy. So exercices + diet is a good solution anyway=)

Yeah i know the diet will be good and all I just wanted to know if anyone on here had experience with it.

Not me, but I hear it's really great. Do a search for more info. It's pretty highly recommended by everyone that's done it. I'm considering it, but just haven't jumped on board yet.

I know several who've done it - seems like it's not horrible, but in some ways it's more about making you feel like you just did a kick-ass workout than in maximizing your fitness/weight loss. This is just my opinion though, and I may be biased in that anything that promotes 'muscle confusion' loses a few points with me ;)

That's what I've heard, that P90x is the more advanced version, and P90 is the starter... It's got the Fat Burner diet as opposed to the Fat Shredder! ;)

I have heard many many great things about the p90x!! I know some people who LOVE it!

Will you be doing the diet too?!

I've heard that the results are 10 times better when coupled with the diet :)

I did P90X and I went from 272 to 242 but, I think anyone could do just as well going to the gym. I lost the weight in about 2 1/2 months.
I didn't like P90X because you don't really know how many calories your burning unless you have a hear rate monitor, more than half the time I would just go to the gym and workout similar things to the schedule, or even just ride my bike for a few hours. I personally didnt feel very inspired after a couple of weeks I got tired of the repetetive nature of the videos and excersizes.

I've been doing the original P90 for about a month and a half, I moved up to the second stage a couple of weeks ago. I've lost about 10 pounds since I started, but the first set didn't really push me very hard, the second set is about where I need to be. After I get "used" to these, I'll do P90X.

I still have a gym membership, I like to lift weights too, but you can get very good cardio with these vids.

First post on here, I've lost about 70lbs since I graduated college, still have about 20-30 to go, want to get in shape now mainly.

Hey everyone,

I am going to be starting P90X in a few days and started a blog about my journey.

Please visit this link, comment, or email me. I would like all the support I can get and would love to support as many people as possible.

Good Luck Everyone!

I Love p90x!! I did it for the past 6 months, & became an online accountability partner for p90x & Beachbody because of it!!! I run secret facebook groups of people on the same journey! :) You can always message me for more info & more support!!

I am going to be doing a round of p90x:2!!! I was lucky enough to see the whole trailor when I went to the BEACHBODY coaches summit this past month.

Here is the trailor to p90x:2 ...check it out! I am placing special orders before it comes out, so send me a message if you are interested in getting it or need an accountability partner!

Hey everyone! I just started P90X today. If anyone wants a buddy to chat about it with, I'd love for someone to go through the journey with! It seems like if you give it your all, the videos really kick your butt. But yeah, they do seem rather advanced. Haha, I couldn't do a pull-up, or even many push-ups, if my life depended on it. That isn't going to stop me from giving it my best though!

AI would like to try it when I get healthier I think I would get down when I couldn't keep up so I dont want to risk it.

I found a chick on youtube that does a lot of stuff where you dont need weights but she is hella fit so it must work.

http://www.youtube.com/user/charliejames1975 is the channel. Lots of good idea's on there if you want to do a hard workout with out having much equipment

I've been doing P90X now for ~2years and I absolutely love it. I like the fact that the workout schedule is set out for you so you know what you are doing each and every day. In my opinion, it has to be one of the best all around wokout programs because it works out your cardio, muscles and also includes stretching routines. I am a cyclist so I use some of the routines during cycling season to keep me in shape while I'm off the bike. I did find that the meal plan was a bit too difficult for me to follow with my family so I just eat sensibly and find that works for me. Bottom line, well worth the purchase price!

It depends on whether you think you can handle it. P90X means Power 90 Extreme, apparently.

So the P90 is just a more manageable version...

Fortunately, there is a "Fitness Test" you can do to see if your fitness level is good enough to handle it.

There's a review site which is pretty informative, and there's a page on the fitness test, which goes into quite a bit of detail.

Good luck folks
