Anyone here doing P90X?

Stick with it

Keep it up Veronandez86! I'm doing the lean too. Day 6 for me. This program is a butt kicker, but my husband grabbed me as I walked by him today and said, "Your gettin' thinner. you can see it!" I said are you lying to me and he said, "No really you can see it!" I'm very happy with the P90X. No weight loss yet, but areas of my body are tightening up.

I just ordered p90x today and can't wait to try it! I've been watching youtube videos on people's results for a few weeks and super motivated now.

I would highly recommend P90X I have had two friends have completed the program and have had amazing results.....Its tough, sometimes boring, but if you tough its out you will get results. My only friend lost 32lbs in 90days. The other totally sculpt his body.

I’m in week 4 and I weighed myself almost a week ago and I was down 9lbs...I don’t follow there diet at all. I just watch my calories and try to stay under 1800 a day.

I will def. be posting pics and feedback once I have completed the full 90days. Just stay motivated by pressing play!

I should be getting mine on Tuesday (hopefully sooner) so I will post my progress once I start as well. I'm so excited!

What's this chin-up business? What if I don't have a chin-up bar? I don't have a proper doorway to hang one of those ones either. Can I still do it?

The whole package is only $89 here at my Wal-Mart. I am DYING to get it but I keep hearing that if you're not already in semi-decent shape you should avoid it. That just makes me want to do it more.

Erika they show you how to do modified moves, you can use a tension bend if you cannot use a chin up bar.....They will show you how on the video......

Get a hold of the Videos and keep pressin play

I'm not in shape what so ever but I'm still going to try it out. It might kill me for a while but I've heard they have different ways of doing each workout based on your fitness level.

That’s right Chelsey. I have a lot of friends who have tried it... then quit like a week into it. But I promise you if you just keep making time to do the videos, even if you take multiple breaks, and can’t do the exercise exactly like them; you will see results my dear. But remember diet is a huge factor! You cant just eat what ever and hope this video will save the day.

Lets us know how you do.

Thanks!

I'm 1 week in, I missed day 6 though cause I had a busy weekend but I'm planning on doing a 2 a day workout to make up for it. It really isn't as hard as I thought it was going to be, I read in a lot of places to not even think about doing this workout if your not in shape but I'm not in shape at all and I can keep up with the videos for most of the workouts of course some of the exercises I can't completely do right now but I can do most of it. I'm doing the Lean Phase so maybe the Classic is harder?

P90x is a pretty intense workout. It goes without saying that it isn't designed specifically for strength gain, but its really effective for fat loss and getting cut. I've been doing it for a month now and i'm pretty satisfied with the results so far.

Thanks!

Good job Chelsey!!

If you miss one dont let that hold you down, just forget about it and keep moving on as you were.

Im not sure how the Lean routine is but I know the classis is what I do and its pretty tough. I was always an active guy, and the classic really pushes me to my limits.....Keep going strong and fill us in on your 30day results.

agreed with Nika!
I did P90x for a bit but I hate training like a man...seriously it builds a mans body...i really dont want large shoulders and p90x...
trainerpack knows how to deal with women's bodies

The system looks great.....but all you have to do is go to crossfit.com and follow the exercises. Or go to youtube and search crossfit. It's free. In my opinion crossfit affiliations will overtake the country in the next couple of years. It's a great workout and it doesn't require a fancy gym where people go to hang out and talk. I used to go to a gym and bodybuild but now I have seen the light. I have seen many muscle bound guys get there buts kicked doing a crossfit workout! It all depends on your goals though. For muscle heads it just wont do anything for them. But for someone who wants to look their best, gain muscle, loose fat and be in perfect health, then crossfit is for you. And just for clarity, I am not an affiliate.....yet. :)

I know a lot of people in the military that do it. Personally, I hate working out in my apartment... it's like it taints it or something. My apartment is the "chill" zone ;)

I got P90X a couple weeks ago and had planned to start it until I was hired to go to work in Kuwait, so I decided to hold off until I get to Kuwait and settled in before I start. I didn't want to start and have to stop part way through when I go to make my transition overseas.

But I am stoked about starting it once I get myself settled in once over there.

I have a brand new P90X for sale if anyone would like it. Unfortunately, I had to have surgery on my knee and won't be able to do it anytime soon. I'd rather someone have it that will actually use it than collecting dust :). Just send me a PM.

Hey everyone,
I ordered P90X like 4 months ago. Started it for a week and then stopped. Not that the workouts were too much for me, I just can't stay motivated to do them. I have a two year old son and and am opening two new buisnesses. How do you find the time and stay motivated? I REALLY want to lose my extra baby weight and get back to 140lb. I am at 170lb now. 30lb doesn't seem like much, but I can't get it off.

For motivation, I would say find a partner. If you cna't actually have an in person partner then have someone call you to remind you to do it or have someone that you have to be accountable to. We all need coaches of some kind.

I plan to start this program soon. I know several women who have done it and have received amazing results. My 16 year old daughter is excited about it too, so maybe we will do it together.

It seems to be the best well rounded prepackaged* program out there, I mean come on, what other program incorporates, Plyo(jump training), Martial arts (Kenpo), Yoga, a Specific stretching day, the most ridiculous killer ab routine Ive yet to come accross, and total body resistance using both body weight (calisthenics) and actual weights... I'd rather be able to knock out a slew of pushups and pullups than get excess bulk, er Ill repharse that, Id rather strike the balance between bulk/strength while maintaining agility which p90x seems to hit well if you integrate it right according to your starting body type, although i will say i wouldnt reccomend p90x for skinnier people, id say its more suited for a medium or large build, i guess that where that 'westside for skinny bastards' workout would prolly work well, (although i havnt really looked into it too much, but it looks pretty bad ass from what ive seen, But I like the convenience factor of the dvds, plus tonys hilarious) but the gyms fine too, actually thats p90x's whole philosophy, CHANGE IT UP, challenge body in new ways, er muscle confusion as they say, so sure both are prolly great in their own right, an have their advantages, but I hate the gyme scene, so Ill do me, you do you, JEZUS, - jynus an devildog, oh an if ya wanna see some sick REAL p90x results go (REMOVED)

Hello everyone,

I have just started a round of P90X and I'm on day 3. I am so sore already! This workout is great and I can't wait for day 90 to see my results. Everyone else I that that has used it has gotten fantastic results. I just want to see if there is anyone else here doing P90X or thinking about doing it. Thoughts, comments, questions? Feel free to give me your input.

Yoga X tomorrow! =)

Blade

Soreness is normal with any workout but DO NOT overdue it. Also you want to make sure you are taking supplements "Peak Recovery Formula" was designed to reduced soreness by helping to rebuild the muscle and give you back the energy that the workout took from you.

P90x is a great program and remember keep pushing play. If I can be of any assistance to you let me know Blade.

Ridiculous. What you won't get on P90x is huge. Depending on how you implement the trainer, you can get much stronger and explosive. As for the intensity of the workouts....I rarely have felt the urge to puck in the gym, outside of a difficult leg day here and there, P90x workouts test your fitness muck more than a traditional mass building resistance workout. I have no problem going to the gym, working 2/3 muscle groups with 10/12 mass building movements, I dread P90x, if done intensely you look in the mirror every workout.
