Anybody watching 'worlds strongest man' ??

So does anyone watch it? Its all going on over the next week or so, its the heats which then obviously work up to the final.

I think either Phil Pfister or Marious Pudginowski will win, But for england (home country) mark felix is looking good, but doubt he will win!

Anyone else watch it, got any views?
 
Terry Hollands pisses over Felix, that guy's a monster.

I watched it the other day though and thought it was great that a UK farmer who'd never lifted a weight before he hit 38 was competing in WSM by the age of 42.

Nah, the UK guys are pretty average IMO. Hollands is the only one with enough strength but he's too heavy right now, he struggles in any event that involves moving!
 
Yeah, I saw that, he just had a capilary burst while deadlifting, it's not uncommon.

Shame it happened to him on a pussy weight rather than anything impressive (that's pussy weight for a strongman, not your average lifter)
 
I know, that 7th barrell is like 750lbs to DL, did you see Felix showing off by repping the 7th barrell out. Now he can Dead lift.
 
I thought Jimmy Marku did well last night for us (ENG) especially to say it was his debut for the worlds strongest man. No1 will beat pudginowski hes a f*cking machine!

Hollands is on tonight CCR :)

Marku is a bouncer at a club on Charing Cross Road which is the same street I work on. Never seen him though. He's only young so he'll get a lot better

Hollands will do well, I bet he'll come in 2nd or maybe 3rd. Any idea who else is in his heat?

No idea whos with Hollands, but it shouldnt be too hard as the favourites have already had their heats.

Next year well be seein you hopefully CCR reppin the UK ;)

Lol, he needs to lose a bit of fat though if he ever wants to be WSM champion, he always gets tired too easily because of those rolls of fat

Watching that show has made me realise that I need to be at least 325lbs before I can think about matching their strength
 
I know hes got plenty of fat on him, but he is good, he says he wants a podium spot but i dont know if he will. I also think Felix is looking stronger!

Wow, I didn't know it was tonight, I definately be watching.

I've seen the final events and I bet Hollands suffers in the OH safe lift, I can't understand why someone who weighs 385lbs does so badly with lifting overhead!

The deadlift is in the final, I predict a 2nd place for Hollands in that event (Mariusz to win)

Overall I think Hollands will come in around 4th or 5th
 
Hes got long arms tho aswell so its harder for the OH lifts.

Felix will probably win the DL, hes known as the best in that event. I hope one of them get a 3rd spot or something tho, that would be good.

You only need to add another 350lbs to you max DL CCR and you will up with the big boys...good luck with that one :)

LMAO, but remember that they've already done 6 reps before they get to that 750!

I'm backing Hollands to beat Felix in the DL still :p
 
Doh, I just checked out the results (It was filmed in September last year) and Felix beat Hollands. Apparently it was raining and Hollands slipped though

I'll spare you the final results though, I wouldn't want to spoil it for you :D
 
Thats sh*t ! Didnt know it was filmed so long ago. Disappointed now. Yea dont tell me who wins, but i can make a guess who it is, like i predicted earlier in the thread..
