Any Special Thanksgiving tips....

Well, the big holiday season (no put intended) :smash: is here, and it's time to start the battle of the blulge!

I know a lot of us have been working diligently for the big holiday. I have been busting my hump in the last few weeks to get down to a weight my family has not seen in several years, and I finally got there!

Now, I don't want to consume 3500 calories in a single meal on thanksgiving, but I already know I have the potential to gorge myself (the food is just sooooo freakin' awesome).

I am wondering, does anyone out there have tips that have worked for them, other than just white-knuckling it? :driving:

I know what is going to happen. It's going to start with whole-white meat turkey, no gravy, some fruit, some veggies (green beans caserole, etc... the normal fan-fare) and proper portions... then, people will continue eating appetizers and seconds, thirds, etc. for the next 4 hours!! I will inevitable go back, and get more, and at some point conceede and just eat some spinaich-artichoke dip, etc. and some other crap, then feel bad at the end.

Thanks in advance for any advice!, and Happy Thanksgiving to all celebrating
:santa:

One trick is to let myself have a bite of everything. But to load up on the turkey and veggies, and then one bite of the rest.

If I want to nibble, then I try to nibble on turkey or salad or something.

For me I find it's easier to go into it with the idea of being able to taste everything, but that I don't need to eat a whole punkin pie ;) It feels less stressful to 'have a bite' than 'no mash potato with gravy for you!!'
