I have some white trout fillets. I would like to cook them on the BBQ does anyone have any recipes for trout?

trout tends to be a little delicate - so what I woudl do - is take a sheet of tin foil, put a little olive oil on it, some garlic, lemon and maybe chopped tomato and parsley then wrap it up and toss it on the grill for about 15 - 20 minutes (depending on h ow hot thegrill is and how big the fillets are - it might be less time, it might be more time...

the fish will steam inside the tin foil and you're left with a juicey flavorful piece of fish

Mal that sounds similar to how I cook my salmon.

Wrap in tin foil, lemon juice, olive oil, garlic, rosemary. Cook about 20 minutes. I leave the skin on and when you remove from the foil it will stick.

Thanks for the idea I'm going to try this out this week. It sounds really yummy. I'll let you know how it goes

I love them with some slices of onion some salt and pepper and a dab of butter stuffed inside the fish then wrap them in tin foil and grill till done. They are good this way when you are camping and cooked on the camp fire the same way!!

Not much new to add to the above. You won't need much oil (if any) since the fish is being steamed inside the foil. Maybe spray some Pam.

the oil is for flavor not for removing stick - the fish gives off enough liquid that it doesn't stick but the flavor of good olive oil can't be beat a-nbd steamed fish can be rather bland -so it needs it..

So good with a little dab of fake butter, worcestershire sauce, lemon and orange slices. I also use cayenne pepper and onion and garlic powder. Add some garlic cloves and onion rings, if you want, and wrap in foil. I leave the skin on and don't wrap in foil.

This is also a really good reipe for redfish, which I think is a kind of trout. It's awesome! Grill up some veggies, too, and what's really good is at the very end, skewer some pineapple, watermelon, and grapes and place on the pit for a few minutes. Soooo good.
