His, this is the first time I post. I want to do the classical, almost beaten to death dream of loosing fat while gaining muscle. I realize this is very hard so I was thinking if I should focus only in muscular gain( I want to get a 6 pack, 8 if possible and pectorals but I don’t want to get too big; I just want to have an athletic muscular body) and then focus on losing fat. However, I heard that when you do exercises that make you lose fat you also lose some muscular mass too, and I don’t want that to happen. I don’t really know if I should do yoga, how many calories should I burn (run) after I get to a certain degree, etc…
Thank you in advance

Well, I will see what I can find. By the way, how the hell do you check the amount of body fat you have? how do you figure that out? it might sound pretty ingnorant but I have read some post in which people tell the amount of body fat the have.

You will need to see a pro personal trainer and ask for a body fat % test, Make sure they do a 7 or 9 point caliper test as anything else is a waste of time.

You can only do it 1st thing in the morning before eatting or drinking

I don't know if I agree w/ first thing in the morning on bodyfat tests. for one, you're dehydrated, so the skin is less elastic, so you may not get an accurate pinch for the caliper reading.

More important is to have bodyfat tested prior to any exercise, for the same reasons..skin elasticity, plus muscle swellage.

Certain exercises don't make you lose fat. Loosing fat is mainly a function of nutrition.
