Hi guys&gals,

I'm new to the forum and like most, need to lose a bit of weight.
Over the past 5 years or so, I've put on 53 pounds..

I used to be a fitness freak until I went through a really bad period of my life where I withdrew into my own little world and sort of pushed everyone way.
Over the course of those 5 years, for whatever reason, I seemed to "enjoy" putting on the weight.

In hindsight I should have gone to speak to a professional rather than eating my way through the situation, but I digress!
Time heals all wounds and it's time for the weight to come off so that I can move forward and enjoy the rest of my life. I have a lot that I've missed doing over the years, so I have a lot to catch up on. :)

I've been half-heartedly trying to lose it but my main problem is lack of accountability. Things always pop up so I postpone it for a week or two because I know at the moment, noone is watching. Tsk tsk...

So I'm about to head over to the Diary forum and put it all in writing.
Having people there (hopefully) reading my entries will hopefully provide the accountability that I need during periods where I have higher priorities and would LIKE to put the weight loss on hold. :)

Thanks for reading and I hope I can be of some support to others on the same path!

You have came to the right place! Just take it one day at a time! What I've found out that works best is to make small changes over time...we would all love to lose weight fast, but this is not the best thing to do.

Write down all of your weight loss goals down on paper and work towards them.

You can do it!
