Another one looking around

Hello.

I just joined as well. Are you setting up a weight loss goal? Or did you just join for fun?

I have set up one. I am a 5'6" female weighing 169 lbs and wanting to go down to 140lbs. works out to be 6-7lbs a month and 1-2 lbs a week. I've joined a few of the chats. When my work out buddy failed me I found that this kept me going. :)

Sorry for belated reply... work, stuff, etc all conspired to keep me off line for the most part.



Well I have a target number in mind that I want to lose but admit my actual goals are a bit lacking. I've begun walking more and trying to eat less. The walking more is easier than the eating less. Another girl at work has come down a lot in weight and thats pretty much what she did although she admits that she probably could not have done it without taking some pills to suppress her appetite. I checked with GNC but they were out of the ones she took so I didn't buy any but I may need to do so. The appetite seems to be a big obstacle for me.



Wow you will be in great shape at under 150 pounds and 5' 6". Sounds like a reasonable amount and time to do it in. Wishing you success!!!!

I've tried a lot of weight loss pills before. They do work but to me it's like starving yourself. In the way that, when you're done and down to where you want to be...what next? I mean it is possible to stay at the weight that you want to after but involves changing habits from what they were before anyways. I just think that in the long run it is way easier and less frustrating to just go for the healthy eating and some exercise every week. If you still decide to do appetite suppressors I wish you more success with them than I had!
 
Sorry for late reply - been very busy. I hear you regarding the need to change eating and exercise habits to really get results. I've found from past experience that I need a little help though so it's kind of where I'm at. My friend gave me a few of her pills and they worked great so I'm going to get some. I checked with the local GNC and they said they were getting them in but they weren't sure exactly when. I'll check back with them in a bit and if still no work guess I'll look around some.
 
Eh, not a fan of having to use any kind of pills when it comes to weight loss.


Have you ladies thought of using gum to curb your cravings? It's really helpful when you feel like having something that's not very healthy :) I'm a big fan of the extra sugar-free brand. They advertise it on the Biggest Loser all the time.


Might be worth considering :) Probably cheaper than the pills, too :)
