Hello there!

I am 18 and 5'7''.I used to weigh 160 pounds (3 years ago) and now I am stuck at 128 which is quite healthy but being a 5'7'' volleyball player every extra pound affects my jump and knee joints as well.My goal is to get to 120 pounds by the end of June.
I really hope to find the inspiration I need here:)

Welcome to the forum.

Well done at losing those 32 pounds. It is great that you love volleyball. I'll bet that is a wonderful form of exercise. I assume that your exercise levels are already high.

Your current BMI is 20.0 which is in the lower part of the healthy range. Your goal BMI is 18.8.

I think that your best way of getting down lower is by careful calorie counting.
Since you put a lot of pressure on your legs with jumping - I think that it is very important that you ensure that you are getting sufficient calcium (I think that the recommendation is 1000mg per day at your age).
You also want to look after those joints - and certain foods can be beneficial and would be worth you weaving into that food plan.

Make sure that you have plenty protein and fibre and certainly lots of water for all that exercise (at least 65 ounces per day)...

Good luck with your project

Hi! Thank you for the advice.
I know I have to drink a lot of water especially now that it's getting warmer and I'm going to start doing double training sessions.
I usually eat quite healthily (i'm a vegetarian) and it is a bit frustrating because I'm so close to my goal yet I've been trying for so long to reach it.
I think I am going to try and get more information about the calorie counting method and give it a try.

Exactly! I'm into serious cycling and every pound on the body means a bit slower up hills! Hope you accomplish your goals here.
