Hi everyone!
I've just registered here, as I think I'm finally ready to get serious about losing weight for my health and livelihood.
By way of introduction: I am a college student, majoring in chemistry, and part-time biochemistry researcher. I love to read, listen to music, run, and go out for coffee with my friends.
I was always very thin and athletic during high school, but since college, I've gained a whole lot of weight. I've stayed fairly active, but I just stopped paying any mind to how much I was eating, often eating out of boredom or for emotional reasons.
I'm nearly twenty-one years old, and I'd like to start my adult life off at a healthier weight.
And hopefully a forum like this will help me stay motivated and accountable!
I don't even expect to weigh as little as I did in high school, but I do want to lose at least thirty pounds to get into a healthy weight range, from about 155 now (I've been on vacation away from a scale for a while, so I don't know for sure) to around 120 eventually, but I'd settle for 130 by my birthday in June. I think that's doable! Just about five pounds per month.
Wish me luck!
