another newbie

Hi all,

I think I'll be starting a diary soon, so I'm going to save all the details for there. The short version is I gained a lot of weight really fast a few years back, and now I'm trying to lose it.

I've decided not to weigh myself, as it will probably really upset me, but I know I'm somewhere between 240 and 265 right now. I'd rather have my mileposts be the size jeans I fit into. It's the more important measurement to me right now, especially since my size 20 jeans have a rip in them, and all I have left are size 18 pairs.

I've already got my weight loss plan in action. It's kinda weird, but it was prescribed by a doctor whom I trust very much, and it's worked for me in the past.

Anyway... hope to get to know everyone better.

Ello, a little new here as well, I wish you luck so stay positive :) And perhaps you can check out Wish's weight loss methods from her link, they are rather helpful, though I am a little wary of the "sacred heart" diet... hehehe.
