Hey Everyone,
Im a new person to this site. want to start working out and getting in shape and think this site will really help. im 19 years old and like in rochester NY, my names kyle. i wiegh about 168 and am 5'9'' . My legs , arms , and back are pretty much normal but i would say i have a good amount of belly fat and chest fat. i want to become tone and gain some muscle. i think this will greatly help my self esteem. just need some pointers and motivation. i am very ... well.. lazy and keep putiing working out off. i never think im doing it right. i never know what i should eat and when i should eat it or how much. also how much to exercise and all that good stuff. well anyway , hope to share my experiences and get some advice from you guys. thank you.
Kyle

Hi Kyle and welcome to the forum I too am 19 (or will be on the 31st) I am not good at working out either. I always end up hurting more than I think I should by the time I am done and stop doing it all together. Now I have found this board and a few new exercises that are easy and less painful...plus I seem to like them more. This board is definately one of the best weightloss forums that I have come across in many attempts to loss weight. You will find a lot of great people who will support you, listen to you, and advise you when you need it.

I wish you luck on losing weight and toning your body.

Check out the diaryjournal part of the forum. You can find some before and after pics on here too. Both parts of the forums are very helpful and inspiring.

Hi Kyle,
I am new today also. There seems to be alot of very informative people on this site so I am sure they will help you out!
I am 37, I weigh 148 and am 5'6". I would love to get back down to 125. Not so easy, but I have been working out everyday and just lately started to watch what I eat. I am in the same boat. I don't know what to eat, how much to eat, and how often. I just know that I want to lose weight and feel better about myself!
Good luck!

Thanks guys for the nice welcoming. my problem is motivation and actually doing it and staying in a routine. ill always say in my head, OK tommoarw im starting my work outs and such. LOl. i just know ill have more self esteem once i get to were i want to be. i just need someone to tell me what i should eat and when. and what exercises to do and how often. i hate guessing. i want a nice meal plan and workout plan . and what i really need is motivation.

My girlfriend who i love with all my heart just moved away to college and is only an hour away. but i never see her as much as i used to and im a parinoid boyfriend. LOL. get nervous and jealous when shes with other boys ect... anyway, i know a big part of why i act like i do is because i dont have enough confidence in me and i want to get my self esteem back up so i dont have to worry and be better about it, and be better for myself. anyway thanks again for listening . and hopefully ill actually go through with it all this time

Thanks guys for the nice welcoming. my problem is motivation and actually doing it and staying in a routine.

In my many attempts at trying to lose weight. This was my biggest killer. My motivation this time is when I stepped on the scale this past weekend and realized how bad I had really become. Me and M2M another member on here have discussed about not saying "I NEED to do this" rather say "I WILL do this" there is no gaurantee when you say NEED but there is when you say WILL! I have been saying that to myself over and over again this past week and here I am...I have made it to friday and I am down 3lbs already! I really have never liked working out...like i said in my last post. I never could really do sittups very easily...and on the floor too. They would hurt my back and neck so badly. Now I have a one of those big gymballs. I use that and now I am doing 400 sittups daily...as of right now...it might go up this next week. If you find something that changes your motivation then thats great! One little change can make a huge difference. I bought a gymball and now I am doing 3 times more exercise then I was able to without it.

Remember You CAN do this and you WILL do this!

Good luck!

Hi Kyle,
Welcome to the WLF!

If this is something you WANT - you'll make it happen when you're ready (and there really is no better time like the present) :)
