Hi! I am new here...I stumbled across this board as I am trying to learn as much as I can about how to run my body efficiently and lose some weight.
I have suffered from BDD for most of my life, and from eating disorders for about 10 years now. I have never been considerably over or under weight, but the damage I have done to my metabolism is clear, and now I am trying to reverse this (and to lose about 15 lbs the healthy way!

I am 5'9" and currently about 155lbs. My goal is 140lbs - my shorter term goal is 145lbs by my 23rd birthday on February 22. I would like to lose the last 5 lbs by the middle of March.
I have just joined a gym and I am really enjoying it. I typically go 6 days a week, and generally do about 1 hr of cardio (a combo of stairmaster, elliptical, stationary bike, and treadmill), and about 20 min of weights. Each day is different though, depending on how I feel, but I always push myself to make sure I am getting a good workout. There is a free pilates class at my gym each Saturday morning that I am going to start as well, today will be my first day!
I am an avid equestrian and have ridden all my life. I compete in 3-day eventing and currently have a young horse that I am bringing along named Zander. He is a 5 year old Thoroughbred and I love him to pieces! I ride nearly every day.
I also have a dog, 3 year old lab mix female named Mocha. She is a rescue and an absolute sweetheart!
Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself and say that I am finding a LOT of excellent, useful information here, and I am really excited to join a community that will help me stay positive and motivated!
