Another newbie in need of support!

Hi all! I'm Jen. I am a 33 yo wife, and a SAHM to 3 beautiful kids. I have a 4 yo, and 2yo twins.

Getting right to the point... I am 5'5" and currently weigh close to 240 lbs. I am depressed and exhausted. I am tired all the time, and do not feel good about myself at all. I am in desparate need of some support and friends who've "been there" and can help keep me encouraged!

I HATE exercise! I have yet to find anything I like to do, and yet I know I'm going to have to force myself to do it! I just don't know when, what or where! I practically have a home gym in my basement, from years of telling myself I would make these changes... haven't yet.

I really need to get my butt in gear and do this. As I registered my oldest boy last week for Kindergarten, I wanted to cry, thinking of all of the things I should have done with him and didn't. I don't want to continue like this. I want to be healthy, and be around to see my children's children's children!

Looking for buddies, looking for help, advice, support! I've got to get in control, and really have no idea of where to start!

Pardon my ignorance but what does SAHM mean? We are close in many ways, I am 31 (well on Sunday I will be) I am 5'4" (on a good day lol) and I started off at 238. We can track our progress together! Check out the diary section and start one!

What is your goal weight?

I hate exercise as well! Big shock there, hence the weight I am packing around. I have found walking and aquasize classes to be the best for me so far. If your local pool has classes they usually have child minding too.

Good luck with your weight loss!!

Oh and my name is Jen too!

Hi Jen!

SAHM = Stay at home mom

I would LOVE to have someone to track progress with and get some encouragement!

I want to start walking early in the mornings now that the weather is warming up. I just keep talking about it, but I haven't done it yet.

We also have an inground pool, so I think I might try to build some endurance this summer by "trying" to swim laps!

Thanks for your response! Let's keep in touch! I'll go check out the diaries now. :cheers2:

SAHM = Stay At Home Mom

Gotcha thanks! I guess I am a WMTWSCSH? Working mom that wishes she could stay home haha

That is SWEET you have your own pool, hit up a class to learn some exercises that you could do at home. Man if I had a pool I would never leave it!

So do you know how much you want to lose yet or just working on the exercise part first?
