Hello all,

Well like many of you I am here to try to get some help, advice and more information about loosing weight...

I am a 30yr old female that lives in Tx, and of course I have tried everything you could think of and finally buckled down and said that's it I am going to start working out on my own at home...

I have a bit of a different situation than most, about 2 years ago after giving birth to my son I went back and had a tubal ligation performed and to make the long stroy short, the Dr. and nurses almost took my life.. And still til this day I am still suffering from everything that happened...

I have now developed diabetes, HTN, and an umbilical hernia, and still have major pains from the surgery where the Dr. cut a major muscle, and poked like 2 holes in my uterus and left a coil all on my lower left quadrant area...

So I have for the past month trying to do my own physical thereapy kinda thing, thinking well since its a muscle maybe i can wk it out...

The first 3 weeks I started on the Total Gym and it wasnt so bad low resistance and ok, but now i have incorporated walking this past week and the past 3 days I have been doubled over in pain after the wk out's all til the morning, I am sooo confused but I keep pushing, I don't know what is going on am I doing something wrong???

NO PAIN NO GAIN right???

I need a lifestyle change pronto and will push thru the pain if I have to...

I also have been trying to eat healthy but get fustrated b/c I really cain't get my meal plans together b/c of the diabete's...

Well
thanks

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but when you have diabetes don't you have to stick to a strict diet and exercise regularly? I know my grandmother has to stick to her strict diet (three meals, three snacks) and walk on the treadmill at least four days a weeks...doctors orders. And check her blood sugar frequently and keep a food intake diary. Besides that, I honestly don't know anything about diabetes, so I was just asking.

If you can control your diet and exercise reguarly, you should lose weight. But don't push too hard; if the pain is too severe, stop what you're doing. It's normal to be a bit sore when you first start working out, but if walking is causing you pain, slow it down, maybe you're pushing too hard too fast. Concentrate on your diet and take it slow with working out...

There's a lot of information around this site, about anything and everything. Read the stickies at the top, those are extremely helpful.

I know I'm not that big of a help, but just a few suggestions. Good luck on your weight loss journey! :)

Thanks...

Yea when u have diabetes you have to stick to a strict diet and all that... I believe I have my diabetes under control I test 3x a day and only get a high number every now and than, but I do kinda watch what I eat for the diabetes aspect... Its the whole trying to count calories and carbs plus the diabetes that gets me so fustrated... I can get the diabetes under control but than sometimes I got to many carbs...

Thanks for the input..

you might want to check with your doctor on the exact amount of the "right" kind of calories and foods you need so you don't crash.
