Another new guy... well, girl actually.

Hi everyone! Just joined up here in my attempt to get my flabby butt back into shape. I've been doing pretty well with my diet for the past month or so, and by diet, I mean just eating like I know I'm suppose to and not going crazy with mayo and fried foods. I've never been one to do the fad diets, nor do I deny myself if I really have a craving (ham and pineapple pizza being the #1 craving I've been having lately, so I allow myself a slice every Thursday night, with the understanding that I do not get sweet tea with lunch on Friday lol).

Exercise is a little harder for me. I'm a full-time college student, and I work full-time. This week is going to be the easiest for me to have time because fall semester doesn't start until next Monday, so I have a full week of having spare time when I get off work at 4. I've been trying to make sure I walk my dogs around my neighborhood (separately, so that's two walks for me), but it's mighty hot and my rottweiler, especially, gets tired about halfway through the walk.

I've figured that working out at home is pretty much my only option, since I have such a busy schedule with work and school, and getting to the gym is next to impossible (I live in a small town outside of a larger town, but my work and school are both in my small town, but the closest gym is a good 20 minute drive into the bigger town).

My home gym now consists of an exercise ball, resistance tubes, 10lb dumbbells, and my 50 lb rottweiler puppy (used for weighted crunches as she likes to lay on my chest as soon as I hit the floor). I'm guessing DVDs would be my best bet for motivated workouts, but I'm unsure as to which ones are the best. I've looked into Jillian Michaels' 30 Day Shred, but wanted to get some opinions on it first as I've heard mixed reviews.

I have about 30 lbs to lose to get back to where I looked and felt the best. Any suggestions on things I could do would be greatly appreciated!

I hope to learn a lot from this forum, as I've been pretty fitness dumb until this point, as I was just naturally blessed with a high metabolism (then I hit 25 and my body decided that was done for, lol).
