My name is Erik and I am 27 years old. I am 5'11 and currently weigh 280lbs. I have maintained the same weight for around 10 years. I figured I would start taking a different approach to my physical goals and decided to join up on a couple forums to discuss nutrition, exercise and progress. I don't have any specific weight goals but wouldn't mind losing the gut. I work a physical job but that doesn't do much because my body is pretty much used to it. The equipment I have access to in my home inclueds:
A treadmill
A weight bench (100# max came with it)
A couple hand weights
A punching bag(not currently setup)
A Wii system. You got more than a few rounds boxing and you know it. heh

Also, with the gear my motivation to use it comes and goes. I am hoping to change that if I can. So hellos and suggestions are encouraged. I should be here a while.

:) Hi! It took me a while to get myself on track and on the right program but when I did it I finally lost the weight. Good luck to you I know you can do it:D !

Well if you have a physical job then perhaps you should start looking at your diet as the culprit for excess calories. Your body may be "use to it" because you're taking in just enough calories to maintain your weight and not enough of a deficit to start losing weight.

Long term weight loss means lifestyle changes and it's time to be honest with how active you are, and what you're putting in your body.

Buying the equipment is fine but just make sure it doesn't get dusty :) Goodluck
