Hey everyone.

I came across this site after doing a quick google search for a weight loss forum. So, I figured I'd join in hopes of finding some much needed support.

As far as the basics go, I'm in the midst of losing 30 lbs. I'm also a vegetarian, so I was hoping to cross paths with a few vegetarians who are in the process of losing weight.

Anyways, I think that's enough for now.

I look forward to becoming part of the community here. :)

I love your username, it's very cute! Good Luck! I use to be a Vegetarian but was told by my doctor that I needed to eat meat because I was very enemic. I only now eat chicken and some seafood. Kind of off topic but what is your choice for being a Vegetarian, animal rights or health? If you don't mind me asking, sorry if I'm stepping on toes.

Hi tiadhani and thanks for the introduction. :)

How long were you vegetarian if you don't mind me asking? Why did you go vegetarian?

As for me, I went vegetarian for quite a few different reasons. I suppose the most important to me would be health reasons. I know there's a lot of different theories and points of view out there but I personally see a meat free diet as being slightly healthier. With all the things they put in farm animals now a days and what not, I just think it'd be easier on my body to go without that stuff. I also find that taking meat out of my diet has resulted in me eating more fruits and vegetable. So, in that sense, a vegetarian diet will probably do me more good than bad in the long run.

I also disagree with the way that animals are treated by the meat industry. I like meat and would probably eat it if I owned my own farm and knew exactly how the meat on my plate got there, but, with the meat industry, you don't know what that animal went through. I just feel a little lighter not supporting that anymore.

Thanks again for welcoming me to the forum. Oh, and I also noticed you're from Canada. Good to see another Canadian on the forum!
