what do you guys think about the 1-AD supplement? Its the 1-Androstenediol.........

I'm just lookin to get my bench up and gain a couple of pounds...nothin major.... I got this stuff for free and would only be takin it for about 3 weeks...

Any infor would be appreciated...

check out the more hardcore boards for tons of info. its best stacked with 4-AD. then you have to have items on hand for PCT.

it isnt for everyone, you have to know what you're doing

I've heard many good things about 1-AD when taken properly. I work with a guys that has had great results using it. I was actually thinking about trying it out myself. What are the bad results you refer to Freddy?

well, heres the thing. theres no doubt in my mind that it works...heck ive seen it work on guys i know. but for me, fitness is a great hobby, but also keeps me healthy. and even the guys who sell 1-AD arent trying to hide the side effects (see the warnings here: http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/ergo/1ad.html).

i mean, like abear said, this stuff is hardcore. it causes many of the same things that steriods do (good and bad). it would probably add some pounds to your bench, but just isnt good for you. i just dont think its worth it.

RIPPED,

I'm sure you already know this but it may be worth repeating for any lurkers reading. As honest and knowledgeable as we may be here, don't take our word for anything you are interested in ingesting. Take time to understand the ingredients and side effects. Get BIG/skinny quick drugs do not exist. Hard work, discipline, and consistancy is the key to your goals. (almost turned into a motivational soap box speach... )

I'd consider 1-AD as a step to or between the real gear. I haven't done enough research myself to know for sure but I'd say 1-AD is a good supplement to use while cycling off or during the time between cycles.

Please take some advice from someone who knows a great deal about the stuff, KEEP away. The majority of the time users experience the side effects of anabolic steroids without the muscle gains. You want to gain mass, then eat! I know this has been stated many, MANY times before. I know this is not much backing for evidence, but let me go ahead with my story anyhow.

Me, I had some good muscle gains when I first started lifting when I was only in junior high all the way through my senior year when my test levels were peaking. However, there came a time when my gains came to a screeching hault. Changed my program, but still nothing. Change ever different aspect of lifting many times, still no results. Looked at my sleeping habits, they were still good. Looked at the basic overall structure of my workouts, everything looked fine. There were no signs of overtraining. However, I finally discovered the problem area was my diet. For years I had been eating whatever I wanted, when I felt like it. I would skip meals when I was busy, trying to make up for those meals at the next meal. I was drinking way too many sodas (not diet sodas either), drinking little or NO water, no fruit consumption, no veggies, my protein intake was not nearly high enough, and my overall caloric intake differed each day GREATLY. Finally, I became educate on the importance of a good diet. I made good gains and had a good BFP (please don't shoot me) without a good diet. However, when my gains were non-exsistent for such a long period of time I decided to follow a structured diet in which I would get the right amount of Carbs, proteins, and fats, in combination with a daily caloric intake that would be sufficient to my moderate-to-slightly-fast metabolic rate. The results weren't seen in a week, or even after two. However, after a full month of actually following a structured diet my gains came flooding in again. I gained about 5 pounds in one month, with a calculated lean mass gain of about 1-1.5 pounds. My lifts all went up, and my body started looking a lot better. I have cheat days where I will eat a few fast food meals or may not be able to eat as many times throughout the day, but these are usually only about once a week, and are also usually only about 3 times a month. Trust me, diet is important. If you want muscles you will have to eat. Even if you are on steroids or andros your diet still dictates the composition of your body! Andro in combination with a good diet and training program would be okay. However, just getting on andro without even trying to eat more and making an effort work little harder is like building a house without a foundation. Without a foundation the house will fall.

Foundation= Diet and Hard work, without this all supplements are as useless as thorned toilet paper.

genius,

Great post and thanks for sharing. A lot of newbies can learn a lot from your message. Too many posts have started with "I've been working out for a month now and I want to know...(insert diet or program Q)". It takes time, patience, research, experimentation and a SOLID DIET among other things.

"...useless as thorned toilet paper." :D Funny stuff!

Thanks again,
DM
