An introduction from a newbie

Hi, I am a Tim from Singapore. Well, I have been embarking on a weight-losing journey for the past one year but with minimal results. Basically these are what I have been doing:

1) Cut down my intake of fast food or fried stuff to twice a week - usually during the weekends.

2) Relying on my job to exercise. My job involves lots of climbing of stairs and walking, maximum is around 100 stairs and around 500 steps.

3) Drinks moderate amount of water. Around 1.5 litres a day.

My question is therefore if all these are sufficient.

Would appreciate your advice.

Oh yah. Just another sharing.

I got it some reading done. I cannot really remember the source.

To lose weight effectively, one just have to do the following;

1) Avoid eating all things "white".
2) Drink lots and lots of water. (Why does the drinking of more water help? Can someone enlighten me?)
3) Avoid eating foodstuff that comprises wheat. (Can anyone explain this as well?)

Thanks. Would love to hear from more of you.

Regards.
