Am I To Blame?

calves=15 inches at the biggest
thighs=21 inches at the biggest

Do these numbers seem big or small for someone my size in your opinion?

It's a bit hard for me to judge because I don't have a male body and because men generally wear loose pants I don't have that good of an idea of the average man's leg size (though sometimes when guys with muscled legs wear semi tight jeans I find that vastly more attractive than a guy with skinny legs), but no they don't seem big. What are the rest of your measurements like?

You can try using this (but I don't know how legitimate it is, it's just what came up on google) Male Girth Calculator it gives you some general guideline of measurements for a wrist circumference.

Have you considered asking your family members about this, they would be a better judge since they actually see you in person.

Hey Beachbum...I wasn't sure you were a girl! But some girls do wrestle!

You are still very young. A lot of men do not 'fill out' until they are in their 20's and they can be very lean in the torso until then particulary the waist - hence the hourglass look. Broad shoulders, lean waist, thicker thighs & calves.

Sounds to me you like you are still developing.

If you want you can pump iron and build your upper body up. Over time your torso will no doubt fill out and then you will be wishing you had your youthful flat abs!

Don't worry so much and ignore stupid remarks by other people. Everyone has an opinion on everything but few are worth listening to!

You guys are absolutely right, but I guess it's just a personal thing and so it is hard for anyone but yourself to fix it. You are your own worst critic as is said. I just have to focus on eating right and exercising everyday and hope there will be a change.

I'm sure my diet could use some improvement though. Any one of you guys have tips?

Because you're still growing (and also because you're not overweight at all) I wouldn't go on a low calorie diet, just focus on eating healthy food. Don't eat any processed foods or other junky foods. Make sure to eat plenty of healthy protein, also eat things like fish and nuts for essential fats, eat plenty of fruits and vegetables for vitamins.

I don't think you need to lose any weight either, 134 is a pretty low weight! I would focus on building upper body muscle, and making sure to eat plenty of healthy nutrients to make the muscle.

At 17 my husband ate & drank everything and yet remained a beanpole until his late 20's and even then was lean. Like you he had broad shoulders, flat abs and very muscular legs (he played Soccer).

Once he could build upper body muscle he developed a killer bod but to this day he has to keep his calorie intake up with a lot of protein and carbs.

He doesn't drink alcohol now and eats some saturated fats in butter & cheese and eats a lot of lean meats/fish, wholegrain carbs and vegetables plus protein drinks when he is working out a lot. At 47 his weight is not the issue but as we get older we must watch out for cholesterol.

As Biggestloser says your body weight is quite low for your height and sex. With your sort of exercise/sports you could probably eat a bit more but in the form of protein and wholegrains. And I'm no expert on the protein drinks but he says they work for him. Maybe ask your coach.

Some guys fill out later than others. If you are anything like my husband you will probably grow into a body everyone else will envy!

I would have to say that about raps up my post. You guys all had really great thoughts and I'll try to keep them in mind. thanks again.
