Am i on the right track to losing the gut?

Hey guys newb here, im just curious; if i continue with my diet/exercise can i lose my weight ?

BF% - around 22%
weight - 205lbs
height - 6"6' or 198cm

caloric maiuntanence - 2200 calories

this is my diet:

breakfast:
2 eggs + protein shake

Lunch:
2 cans of tuna with salad

pre work out - cofee

post workout - protein shake

dinner- chicken breast + vegetables

post-dinner : protein shake.

total calories: 1400.

im training cardio + weights 5 times a week.

If i continue this, will i get skinnier? i dont care about getting muscly, i just want to be skinny, with a flat stomach.

i was on a bodybuilding forum and they said that i wont, rather i would just shrink in size, however my BF% would remain around 22%. Is this correct? because i highly doubt that, their obsessed with getting me to bulk, but i just want to look thin.

any help PLEASE !?!?!?!

pics are included !!

thanks.:cheeky2:

1400 calories is what a woman who is 5'4" needs to lose weight.

You are starving yourself. Your body is likely burning muscle tissue, not fat, for energy.

2200 is NOT your maintenance either.
you have no veggies in your diet.

start over from scratch, and eat more.

Lol welcome to the forum, I'm not surprised all they care about is bulking. You don't have to much fat to lose so I think you can do it in a good amount of time. I would switch out your pre workout coffee and get that outta there. Your diet seems pretty well, I would ad some fruits and vegetables since they are low in calories any way. With your height, and weight and cardio and weight training I believe 1400 calories is deffinitly way to low. I think youd be up to atleast 1800 calories and still be able to lose weight. We'll see what other forum members think.

Just saw malkores post i figured 1400 was to low. If you can consistanly keep that diet and routine up theres no doubt you will lose the weight that you want off. Good luck

Phatso, LISTEN TO ME: 2200 is NOT YOUR BMR.

It sounds like you have not multiplied base BMR to account for your daily activities. BMR is 'resting metabolic/caloric needs'. I assume you aren't in a coma...and move around a little. So you need MORE than BMR.

If a harris benedict BMR calculator gave you 2200 cals, then multiply that by 1.3 to get a more accurate calorie maintenance. then knock about 10% off that number for your 'fat loss diet' calorie intake.

Now that everyone has discussed your diet, I'm just wondering what your exercise routine is like? You've probably got information on weight loss exercises through out these forums? Which is always a good way of learning.

Stick to your High intensity interval training, with your weight lifting. You'll see some other peoples' workout routines in other threads.

Mix up your work outs as well, keep things interesting :D

Good luck!
